Anyone have a leather Eames lounge chair?

We need a comfortable lounge chair for our den and we are considering the Herman Miller Eames chair. I was at DWR last week and looked at it -- they have a tall version, and a variety of upgraded leathers and different finishes for the wood. I like the black leather and am considering the upgraded leather, with the walnut finish. These are investment chairs -- the model we like is around $4,500, so I'm wondering if anyone has one and whether the chair justifies the price. My daughter spilled nail polish on our last lounge chair, so I'm a little wary of spending this much on a chair.

I also saw a knockoff for $750 at a MCM store here in LA, but it wasn't nearly as comfortable - it didn't tilt and the cushions were hard and the wood grain looked plasticky. I'm not a huge fan of the Plycraft chairs, either. Are there replicas out there that are as comfortable as the real thing?
