Comments (32)"I did not waste my money on mail order junk..." "It may be fine out in the country, and that's all well and good for those of you who can have them ... you can certainly have more greenhouse space for less money than I can ... but in some settings, frankly, it just doesn't fly." Judgmental! Lets look at post from others that own the HFGH. ________________________________________________- CONCERNING HFGH PARTS: "gardenerwantabe (My Page) on Fri, Sep 22, 06 at 8:45 Yea the price is what suckered me into buying them. Now I get to throw away these worthless P.O.S. and buy some good ones." _______________________________________________ CONCERNING MODIFICATIONS TO HFGH: "by gardenerwantabe (My Page) on Fri, Sep 22, 06 at 18:58 Molly Did you read the posts on this forum about the modifications that is required to make the 10x12 HFGH survive in a thunderstorm. If you don't do these mods you will lose it." ___________________________________________________ LET"S LOOK A LITTLE CLOSER AT JUDGEMENTAL SHALL WE: "by gardenerwantabe (My Page) on Sun, Sep 24, 06 at 17:10 I hate to bust your bubble but a hoop house covered with the plastic is nowhere near as strong or durable as polycarbonate. The wind will tear it and the sun will destroy it in two or three years. Replacing the plastic film is a never ending job and you will soon spend more than what it would have cost to buy a GH with polycarbonate panels. All you got to do to convince yourself of this is look at the warranty on both types." ________________________________________________ AND: "by gardenerwantabe (My Page) on Mon, Sep 25, 06 at 13:44 Please share with us where you bought this miracle plastic. What is the name of the manufacture. I'm sure people would like to know where they can find a plastic that will last 4 times longer than anything else on the market." __________________________________________________ A beautiful thing that requires so much modification to keep it intact, and parts that are (to borrow a quote from another post) "POS" are not only in my opinion junk, the Wall Street Journal thinks so also. You will find the link to their story in a earlier post above. Everyone should read it. Yes, some would not find a hoophouse an aesthetic contribution, but many do. They are also featured on television home improvement shows in surburan settings in back yards of 200,000.00 homes, and look quite good there. LASTLY LETS LOOK CLOSER AT AN EARLIER POST OF MINE: "Best of luck to you. Bottom line is enjoying our greenhouses, isn't that right." This forum should be named "SUPPORT YOUR HFGH" Postive, comments welcome: Negetive, comments go elsewhere. WILL DO SO GLADLY...See MoreHate my Samsung WA5471AB washer & dryer!
Comments (61)This recall is about users selecting the wrong cycle (Normal or Heavy Duty) when washing bulky or waterproof/resistant items such as bedding (comforters, mattress pads, bedspreads), shower curtains, sleeping bags, parkas, and the like. Every video I've seen on YouTube or news feeds covering an exploded washer that still has the load in it, the item(s) are as such. The explosion happens when the machine balances for spin, revs up to maximum 1,000 RPM (or whatever it may be), and the balance condition shifts due to sudden release of a pocket of retained water from the item. The manufacturer is cited as being at fault for not designing a safety system to stop the spin. Seriously ... there's NO WAY to INSTANTLY stop the mass of the washer drum and clothes load from spinning at 1,000 RPM (or higher in some cases). The electronics and sensors did their job for balancing the load at the start of spin. There's no way to anticipate that the balance conditions would change. The recall involves adding a security bracket to further secure the machine top, AND stickers that 1) relabel the cycles such that the Delicate cycle is designated for Bulky/Bedding, 2) warn that catastrophic damage may occur if the wrong cycle is used for such items, and 3) that waterproof items are not to be washed. Delicate runs a slower spin speed which serves to avoid the high g-forces and catastrophic explosion if balance conditions change after-the-fact at higher spin speeds....See MoreNew kitchenaid refrigerator nightmare and warning to others
Comments (18)I live in Florida and am now experiencing the same nightmare as this person did. I bought two brand new houses by the same builder who put in KitchenAid appliances. Not only has my own Kitchenaid Frig failed but also my rental next door. A friend who bought from the same builder has so far had a failed dishwasher and Frig. I will agree with you that Kitchenaid warranty center is just worthless as all they do is recite a script of how sorry they are the appliance is broken and we will send a tech out to fix...in a week. But their only authorized repair company Flamingo Appliance repair must hire some real special people because the same tech kept calling me claiming he would not come out because ticket information from Kitchenaid was missing. Or I had to be there to pay him. This went on for two weeks with first a call to worthless Kitchenaid always on hold or disconnected service where another ticket would be created and Flamingo would be dispatched out to repair. Second then I would get a call from their brain dead tech who refused to listen to me as the customer and just kept repeating he would not come out because the ticket did not contain who would pay for it. By my fourth call back to Kitchenaid I asked that they give me a supervisor to escalate the issue with Flamingo and the warranty person said "No all we can do is create a new ticket". Terrible customer service on both sides. The tech finally shows up after we sent them a note on FB and claimed the filtered water and ice maker issue was resolved. Only to find out 30 minutes it was not and again the scramble with Flamingo to contact the tech to go back to the house to resolve. Flamingo said well all we can do "is schedule another visit" if he does not call us. Maddening and terrible service....See More55" or 65" TV and brand
Comments (35)We bought the complimentary Samsung sound bar this year that mates up with our Samsung tv. We have it hooked up with Bluetooth and put it directly behind our chairs and we can hear it so much better than in the front under the TV. We can switch back and forth with the TV speakers if anyone else is here watching TV. We had full surround sound in the previous homes but we didn't want all that. The one soundbar with all in one is just right. We could get a second one to put under the TV to have sound coming from front and back but for now it's fine. Actually our Samsung TV has quite good sound quality directly from the TV....See MoreMike C
