do i need to 'feed' my conatiner veggies?
Comments (4)Yes, you will need to supplement the nutrients contained in the soil for 'maters & zucchini, both heavy feeders. No amount of compost will do the chore. Both compost and manure (store-bought manure is of little value, usually listed as 1-1-1 as far as NPK content. Most good garden soils have the majors in that amount before amending) break down quickly and can impede drainage. Composted manure is often tiny amounts of manure mixed with fine sand. For that reason, I stay away from them in containers. I see that Schultz has a new fertilizer in at least 2 formulations that contain the minor elements (or many of them) It should be a good product for container gardeners, though I've not yet tried it. The reason I mention it, is minors can be an issue in container gardening. This product is probably a better alternative to compost or manure in container soils. For the two plants you mention, a balanced blend is good. Neither want large doses of nitrogen, as it can affect fruiting. Depending on how fast your soil drains and how often you water, (temperatures have an effect on how fast slow release fertilizers last, too) you should expect slow release fertilizer products to be effective for 1/3 to 1/2 of the length of time stated on the container. Good luck with the crops. ;o) Al...See MoreHow much sq ft space do I need to grow these veggies?
Comments (4)Howdy, eks! Have you looked in the forum FAQ yet? It is very handy, but not that easy to spot. At the index page for this forum, look up at the top paragraph or so. (Or use the linky I put in this reply.) Near the bottom of the FAQ is a subject on What Spacings to use. Here is a link that might be useful: The FAQ is our friend!...See MoreHusband is watching porn because my menopause zapped my libido
Comments (2)You really feel that he should give up his desire for sex because YOU don't want sex any longer? He owes you his libido because your job gives him all the benefits. Hubby should find a discreet other woman who has no desire to take him away from you. He should build "away" time into his schedule so as not to cause you any alarm, have occasional discreet visits, and come home to you a more happy man, willing to do housework. Or are you saying he should not find a way to make himself happy sexually? His sexual pleasure should be a thing of the past, since it is a thing of the past for you. He owes it to you to suffer too, is that what you are saying....See Moreporn and not a lot of sex....What's a girl to do!?
Comments (5)Does your husband show you affection in other ways? does he hug you, kiss you, tell you how he loves you? I'm just wondering, because if he doesnt, then his feelings about YOU may have changed. Some guys (even Elvis) have the Madonna/whore complex, where they dont view their wives as sexy anymore after they have babies. Some guys are turned off because their wives havent lost all the weight yet. If he isnt showing you any affection,he may even be cheating on you. Or,he could be addicted to PORN. Let me ask you a few questions.Does he watch his porn on the tv,or on the internet? Is he overly private about his computer? Does he make a big deal about having "time alone"? The wonderful internet has made it very easy for men to get addicted to porn. It's on 24 hours a day,in a million different varieties of what "gets them going",so they never get bored. They are ALWAYS stimulated by something new. What woman can compete with that??? Until they realize it's an "addiction" they wont stop either. They will say,"All men do it!" All men DO it to a certain extent. They dont put it before their relationships with their spouses. My husband might do it when I'm not available, but he prefers the real thing anyday to an "image".So,that excuse is not a valid one. When masterbating comes before sex with your spouse, then that is when it becomes a problem. So,if your husband is addicted to porn,he is the one who needs the counseling,NOT YOU. Someone I know, also a young female married to a guy who chooses "THAT" over her,(except she gets sex LESS then once a month) was so mad one day she poured water on her Bf's computer. She blamed it on the cat since the cat was known to pee on everything.I'm not suggesting you do anything like that, just giving you an example of someone with this problem and how upsetting to them it can be. Just like you,she started to doubt herself, didnt think she was pretty anymore.Even thought about cheating on him....See Morewhgille
