I'd have a soap dispenser right by each sink. Wouldn't want to have to go reaching for it when I'm washing my hands, or moving a dispenser from side to side. :-)

I have a single sink and have different soap dispensers for each person using the sink. We all like different fragrances. We did not use built in dispensers in any of the bathrooms for that reason.

I think it would make more sense to have two. We have a bathroom w/ 2 sinks and one dispenser and what happens is everybody uses the one sink. No biggie but makes the convenience of two sinks pointless.

Definitely 2 for the size vanity you have. Our sinks are on opposite sides so it's a no-brainer, but in our guest bath I have 2 soap dispensers for convenience.

In our hall bath, one. Everyone uses one of the sinks, no on ever uses the one closest to the door. That soap dispenser just gathered dust and became the "backup" if the other ran out.

In our master bath, one dispenser for me, a soap dish for DH. He prefers bar soap. When we had a single sink, we still had one dispenser and one bar of soap.

Two dispensers/two towels, or else you'll have a messy trail(s).

Oh. And two hand towels. Unfortunately, they are on the wall behind our sink. Drip drip drip. In the kids bath, they are on towel bars on the door. The only other place is the towel bar under the window...right next to the toilet. I have boys. Ick. (Ick to the towels next to the boys' toilet, not to boys--love my boys!)

We have a double sink vanity in the master bath and the the guest bath (mostly used only by DD since we have a powder room for guests).

I always had two soap dispensers, one for each side, until recently when I went to one soap and one hand lotion in the middle of both sinks. It cuts down on counter clutter and it seemed only one sink was being used most of the time anyway.

DD's bathroom has two hand towels, one for each sink, but DH and I just share one in the master. I'm still considering whether I will hang a towel bar in the master bath or just lay the towel on the counter.

I would be willing to share a soap dispenser, but want my own towel since I sometimes also dry my face with it.

We have a separate soap dispenser for each sink. When we first moved in we only had one and it was strange to reach so far to get soap.

My guest bathroom has a double sink vanity I have a soap dispenser at each in a small vanity tray to catch any drips, don't want it on my countertops. I have two towels at each side and a towel tree in the center with a towel. My master bathroom vanity has one sink, my preference, and the same soap dispenser in vanity tray we do have 2 towels.

We have two dispensers and two towels. The towels are folded on the counter, one next to each sink.

I have a very long vanity right now. Two sinks, plenty of space in between them. One soap dispenser. As long as this vanity is-it's still..not like you have to cross a soccer field. I'm also totally fine with using my husband's side. BTW I also often brush my teeth there, and hand wash my lingerie there too. Unless I have enough lingerie for two sinks.

I use mine also of course-washing face, etc. Mine is also closer to the medicine cabinet, my drawers, cosmetics, etc.

One hand towel on the wall, my side. The other edge of the vanity doesn't have a wall next to it.

We also have a shower where we have a soap, and a bathtub where we also have a soap, and I feel like we have enough soap in a rare case both of us need the same dispenser at that very moment. We can also take turns! You squeeze, then I squeeze!

No messy trails-I usually wipe the counter right after I use it.

(More than that, I also wipe counters in the public restrooms sometimes..I have a thing with wiping the counters I guess lol. My friends think I'm slightly abnormal.)

I also take shower/bath twice a day ..just to clean my name in advance, in case you think I don't have great hygiene habits or something..:)

I do have a nice tray with all my beautiful eau de perfume bottles..right in the middle of the counter. I think it enhances my bathroom experience.

My husband doesn't have similar centerpiece. (poor thing) I truly hope though mine enhances his bathroom experience too lol.

Sorry I haven't responded sooner - in the process of doing the final post-construction cleaning, we discovered that there seems to be something wrong with the grout -- it feels hard to the touch, but if you really scrub it, it gets soft and you can scrub it right out of the joints. I have a call into the grout company and all the contractors but I think we are in for a bunch of finger pointing - I bought the grout at the recommendation of the tile store, and the tile guy (who was actually a sub of the contractor - we didn't deal with him directly) installed it, so the grout co is probably going to say he mixed it wrong and he's probably going to say it was bad grout and I bet I end up on the hook for fixing it (not even sure how that's supposed to happen - it's 2" hex tile so there is a LOT of grout to dig out and regrout....sob!) So anyway, I'm hoping to get final pics out to you today (though it looks pretty dark and nasty out so I might have to wait for a sunnier day). At any rate, I appreciate all your suggestions!
