need a loveseat, lighting, coffee table? Rugs?
Hello,
Just had my new flooring installed and now on the hunt to decorate. I need to pick out a loveseat to go against the railing. Possibly a coffee table and definitely some two tall lamps for the area by the two recliners. I had a sofa here before and it was too big. An L shaped couch wouldn’t work because we LOVE our massage/heat recliners and just can’t give them up.
The full length of the railing is 98 inches but I think a loveseat that’s 66-72 inches might be best because of the chair. I included additional pictures of the room so you can see the traffic patterns( which really limit the layout).
We have a stone fireplace so I would like to stay with a rustic look.
I have a couple rugs down … and I like them, but the one under the dining table is old and sheds so much it clogs the vacuum so they can go. I would be tempted to try a round or oval rug in front of the couch and get a new one for under the dining table as well as a runner for the hallway to the front door.
I have appreciated all the suggestions I have received from many of you for other projects… you are all SO AMAZING and TALENTED! I look forward to seeing your comments and will add more pictures if you request them.

Because of the metal pieces, I would suggest lamps that are organic like beautiful pottery in gourd shapes to soften the look of the room which I think is delightful but you asked for opinions to make a change. Aim for light and airy and I would lighten the paint color. Suggest a durable and interesting rug and it will set the direction of the room and will help with your furniture and accessory choices. Comments (17)Some people find it a huge faux pas to put a TV over a fireplace. Some people swear they can't be comfortable for viewing over a fireplace, your neck will explode from the agony, the TV itself will explode into a ball of flames from the heat from the FP, and people entering your home for the first time will shriek in horror at your set up ..... None of that has been my actual, real life experience - currently have a TV over a fireplace in 2 homes. They both work just fine. Use a tilt-able mount as having them angled downward is a must (or use the adjustable mount so that you can pull it down while watching and then push it back up when done.) No one has died, no one has shrieked in horror, still using the same TV for 8 years in one house (so, so much for the "the TV will never last!" line), and I like the way it looks. I've modified the floor plan to have the loveseat face the window which leaves 30 inches between the railing and the back of the loveseat. Regarding lighting, I show a corner table with a lamp, and a floor task lamp next to the brown armchair near the window. I've also reversed the dining table as you mention the room couldn't accommodate the table turner the other way (I don't have dimensions for the room - it's an approximate plan going by your photos).

Roll arms are comfortable...especially for the neck if you nap. This is a nice blue for your room.

Don't know where you live so don't know where you'll be shopping but I would suggest something like below. A beige loveseat not too small scale to go with your large leather armchairs...
The rug is from Ruggable and machine washable/dryable.
