It looks like there's 2 of them in your circle one right above the other, edit never mind it's not another one. . I assumed that was the critter but had no idea what it was. I also thought perhaps that was not a twig but a walking stick bug to the right.

Annie - Our population of the critters plummeted a few years. Apparently there was a disease that went through the local colony (?). Their population is coming back up. And although a lot of people don't like them, that is a good thing.

Wow, sometimes I amaze myself! That is the 2nd eye I found, but couldn't figure out what it might be. The first thing I found is directly below the right corner of the box, on the bottom edge of the picture. Smooth green, I thought perhaps a frog or reptile of some sort. Rusty

#1 A baby/fledgling Great Horned Owl....the parents are nearby....probably in the trees....?...but maybe not in these trees. #2 A BIG frog....the size of my hand... ****************************************************************************************************** Sorry about the trash. This is a HUGE wildlife area with a trail next to the creek. The creek flooded a couple of years ago. When that happens peoples yards flood, trash cans are knocked over...... styrafoam hot tubs float away. :0)
