Ringneck snakes are a real favorite of mine, Nancy. Totally harmless, of course, though they can emit a heavy musk when handled. Another of their defense mechanisms. These are generally very small snakes. The official descriptions says adults can be from 10" to 30" in length, but I have never seen one over 12", and I've seen many, many over the years. I've often seen babies only 4" to 6" long. Here is a picture of the one we found under Betsy's camellia when we dug it up for Evelyn. You can see how little it is. Glad you rescued yours. They are gentle and very pretty snakes. Marcia

Caroline, I love your new additions to your Fairy Garden. I find it amazing that you found another bunny so similar to the one you had! Did you know more existed than the one you have? They will be a great addition!! And your frog is adorable. After you said about multiple animals on cardboard, I remember seeing those as a kid. Fantastic. I wanted to share a picture of the addition I gave my gnomes. I gave them some "lawn" by adding some moss off the roof of my garage. :)

The thing that I keep looking at is a little bit right and below center. Can't wait to find the answer. I tried to cheat but my Kindle has limited abilities other than old fashioned Google searches and I had no luck finding this one.

Well, finally! Can see it on my PC. Just cannot find it on the laptop. On the bigger screen the antlers jumped out at me. I use the laptop most of the time and every few days check out the mail on the tabletop. Guess I will have to start looking for the hidden creatures in here. It it is a relief to see what others see!

We have a family that live in our shed. I saw them walking across our driveway a couple of nights ago.

So cute, both of them. We used to have quite a few around, but I haven't seen many in a long time...a few years back we had quite a bout of rabies and their population has been a lot more scarce ever since.

Annie - Our population of the critters plummeted a few years. Apparently there was a disease that went through the local colony (?). Their population is coming back up. And although a lot of people don't like them, that is a good thing.

Got em! Have you ever heard them trill? We had some young ones climb our verandah but we didn't know it until we heard them trilling.
