Where do you buy your soil from
Comments (8)Adair, You could try to locate garden centres in your area via www.411.ca Sorry, but can you remind us of what your plans were again? Are you creating a new bed? For a bed, I would suggest simple adding bagged soil. For a larger area like covering an entire yard, go with truckload of earth. What you'd like to look for is one that is close to your location and so costs of trucking in the soil is low. You can get soil by the ton, depending on how large an area you need to improve. And what you'd like to look for is a garden centre that allows you to customize your soil mixes. You will want to know the cost of delivery. Ianna...See MoreWhere do you buy your hostas from?
Comments (24)I like webwalkway.com, Naylor Creek, Hallson's, Northern Grown, White Oak, Bridgewood, and the weekly Saturday farmer's markets in both Iowa City and Des Moines. The first six do mail order, the farmer's markets usually have several hosta sellers with a pretty good selection and some of the more unusual or newer hostas. If you live in an area with a farmer's market, check it out--it's surprising how many markets have at least one person with hostas....See MoreNewbie looking for advice....Where to buy Desert Rose seeds?
Comments (6)I have 30 plus seed pods on my plant and am checking every day (several times), waiting for them to open. I will send you some if you will send me your mailing address. I have about 15 plants that I have started from seed and a couple I have started from cuttings. I usually plant over 20 seeds and am lucky to get 5 or 6 plants that make it. I will send you one of the pods (once they open) so you have a chance on getting some starts. I searched the internet for info on how to plant them and there are several articles on how to do it. If anyone else out there needs seeds, I will gladly send you some...I have too many plants for a sane person to take care of....See MoreWhere do you buy your STPP from?
Comments (44)@mamapinky0, I just googled and found a search result on Pinterest. Needless to say, I wouldn't keep my hopes up for a solution containing Vinegar & Fabric Softener. I swear... one of these days we're going to hear a story about a mother who blew herself up following some recipe on that site. The Real Dawn Power Dissolver was a strong, Proprietary Blend of Alcohol Derivatives called Ethoxylates. And when combined with a mild-acid, the product worked absolute wonders on anything grease or grime, all while having no horrific fumes. For me anyway, it was a miracle product for cleaning certain pans, and other things like my Corningware Collection. ;). It simply worked, and it truly was a "miracle" product. It'd put "Easy-Off" to shame... if you used it to clean a oven, and you didn't feel worried around it. It's my understanding.. you can purchase a case of it, under their Commercial Line.. but, I really prefered picking up single bottles for $2-3 at my local Supermarket, or Wal-Mart. I'm serious.. when I say, I'm pissed if the EPA truly had a involvement here. They can overstep into Consumer Lives, but they still can't figure out how Al-Gore house uses twenty-times more energy than the average american household. Or why certain lakes & rivers haven't significantly improved, like promised... after removing processing agents & ingredients from household products. Such a total Waste!!!...See MoreMarica 7 high Sierra's Ca 4,000ft
