i need your opinions on craft home parties...
Comments (45)In the early 1980s, I also arranged home party needlecraft demos for the Creative Circle. Their kits included crewel embroidery, cross stitch, needlepoint, and applique projects. The guests had a lot of fun! Some of them bought the full-sized kits, some did not - they just came for the party kit and to socialize, which is also great! I looked up Creative Circle online, and the needlecraft company site said nothing about home parties, but they do sell kits online now. There is also a different company called Creative Circle that is a "recruiting and consulting services company". They have nothing to do with needle crafts. I still have, and display, my samples from when I was a party consultant. They are very high quality and beautiful....See Morecute idea for little girls... 2 pictures
Comments (7)Stacie, they can be attached to either. For this one I pulled Anna's hair up and used a scunci no slip grip to hold her hair, then I tied the ribbon over that. When I made one for my DGD years ago I tied hers in a bow over her ponytail rubber band, but for the purpose of taking this picture I didn't take the time to make a bow. Comments (71)It's the darn mudding and sanding that is holding everything up!!! Decided today that my craft table will be 4ftx6ftx35"h! 4x4legs, 3/4inch plywood top and shelf,2x4 construction, wheels and a 2" lip all around to add my magnifying lights. Plus I am going to make specialty shelves for mosaic supplies: 4ft tall x 2ft wide x 6" deep. Table and shelves are not included in the craft room conversion budget...Bad Jane...Scheming out loud... Oh! And I just got a cool idea for a coffee table! I want to have two comfy chairs and a book shelf coffee table so I bought these 2ftx2ft bookshelves, will screw them back to back, put plywood on bottom and top, add wheels for turning and TADA! A cool coffee table/bookshelf! Now that's gotta be mosaiced!!! Tonight I gotta do a bit of sanding, prime the walls, clean up the floor(very messy drywall!!) Tomorrow and next day paint baseboard and walls(DH has abandoned me for work!) Long handled paint roller is my friend now!!! Did I mention I'm wheel obsessed? I seem to want wheels on Everything! I've been looking for just the right(right priced)chair to sit up to the craft table. Like Gretch's!...See MoreCraft Room? Toy Room? Play Room? HELP!
Comments (7)`Beautiful floors! I would use some of your furniture to block out your space vs kids space. Put the short side of the desk on the wall where the antique radio is (line up the edge of the desk with the edge of the wall opposite). Can you get a matching black cabinet with baskets? If they are tall enough, back them up to the desk with the baskets facing towards the window. Then all the space in front of the window is for the kids and kids stuff. Put the armoire under the 1/4 round window. It will encroach a little into the desk space but it's a huge desk... Will the rug fit across-wise? Put the rocker where the armoire is for a cozy read....See Morepowermuffin
