New Granddaughter is here

Ellowyn Fae is the name they chose. She is as tiny as her sister at 6lb and 11 ounces and 19 1/2 inches tall. Haie seems to be strawberry blond. She is having some issues, so keep her in mind and in prayer if you would. Her breathing and heart rate are off a bit. Hopefully she will settle in as she is improving.

And On a light note, Karie Did It was taken in hand by Murphy, the orange sick kitten than forced his way into our home and hearts a bit before KatieDidIT. Vet said it is very unusual for a male to be nurturing, but he was very gentle with her, and bathed and comforted her. They are big buddies now...here they are together on top of the cat tree this morning:

Prayers said for your granddaughter for a full and healthy life to come. I've never heard of the name Ellowyn. Is it Celtic?...........Like Jean, I'm waiting on the picture of Murphy and Katy Did It. I need my Ahhh moment.....Maryl

Oh, look at that princess, all in pink! We had 2 boys before we had our girl. No one on DH's side thought they'd have another girl. The last girl born had been in her 60s. Needless to say, our girl (who is now 13) is a bit spoiled, but she's such a good girl. Enjoy her! Sheryl

Congrats on the new addition. I do hope all continues to go well for both mother and baby and I'm sure they are both getting great care. Cute name. Now we do need pics of the new baby and also of the kitties :)

Congratulations on your new grandbaby. About the cats, we had a similar situation. We adopted as an outside cat a three quarters grown male who had been neutered. A colleague of Bob's rescued the cat and had him neutered, but Henry didn't get along with the colleague's other cats so we took him. Shortly after we took Henry, someone threw out a couple of kittens. I don't believe they were totally feral, but skittish. One of them started hanging around. He treated Henry like Henry was his mother or litter mate, always sleeping next to him or walking beside him with his tail curled over Henry's back. Sadly Midnight disappeared one day and I think that Henry was sad.
