My New Granddaughter (pic)

She was born December 22. After two sons and four

grandsons, I never thought we would have one of

these in our life.

She is three weeks old in this picture. Her mommy

worked hard to take this for the birth announcement.

She weighed 8 pounds and 10 ounces at birth. I

just love her!!

I have been reading a blog called Gaijin Mama, an American woman married to a Japanese man and I am wondering if your son is expected to work the long hours most Japanese men do and expected to go out with the crowd after work, or does he keep "American" hours? bpath, My GD plays with that doll and all her other ”stuffdies” all the time. I have had to repair several of her stuffed animal but not the Avery Lamb. It is in perfect condition. I’m pretty sure that the little pocket on the lamb is closed at the top. I won’t be able to check on that until after next week. My GD is definitely a cutie and she is precocious for sure. (Not that I am bragging 😊). I wish I could show her face but her Mom and Dad would not want that. I took up cake decorating 10 years ago when my first GD was born. I haven't taken any classes but as we all know the internet is full of instructions and ideas. I have started teaching my GD how to frost and do various piping techniques. They love making cakes for their mom and dad’s birthdays and other occassions. Maybe I should start a thread on homemade decorated cakes. ETA. I just noticed that I had commented 4 years ago on pocket on the Avery Lamb Doll. It is not open at the top.

@Alisande, it’s pronounced Meela. They will be home tomorrow. Can’t wait for baby cuddles. I’m watching her older sister who is 5 and so excited for baby to come home. Her middle name Jaymes is after her father and since they aren’t planning on anymore children they decided to give her his name but spelt with a Y to make it look more feminine.

Thanks everyone for looking.

Her name is Mia Faith. They had lost 3 babies
and it took a lot of faith to try again! The
name is perfect for her.

What a darling little girl. She reminds me of my 1st daughter. Big brown eyes, and fat little cheeks. My DD had blonde hair though. She's adorable MMR.

Thank you so much for looking at my baby today.

They live about 12 miles away. I am so lucky to
have both my sons and their families so close by.
The grandsons are so sweet too.

I'm like a crazy woman when everyone is here at
the same time!!

All i can think of is "Pretty in Pink." Congratulations! My best friend Helena has three daughters, among them they've given her 9 grandsons. She's waiting for a girl to spoil!

Oh, look at that princess, all in pink! We had 2 boys before we had our girl. No one on DH's side thought they'd have another girl. The last girl born had been in her 60s. Needless to say, our girl (who is now 13) is a bit spoiled, but she's such a good girl.
