Great for her! I'm also very glad to see that she is wearing a helmet. Smart girl! DD (skiier) and DSIL (boarder primarily) who live and work at a major ski area are huge proponents of helmet use at all ages. The National Ski Areas Association reports that helmet use is up to 61% on the slopes. The user groups with the highest % are kids and those over 65 (73%). Also just from observation, it appears to me that expert skiers/boarders are more likely to wear helmets at any age, so tell your DGD that the helmet makes her look cool too!

Love your granddaughter’s artwork. She must be so proud. And she is very blessed to have a grandma who will frame her picture. When my kids were young we had a galley wall in one of our hallways. It featured our kids art, photos and other artists. They were framed like yours, with neutral mats, we would change out their artwork occasionally. This is still some of my favorite art.

Congrats on your wonderful surprise of another little grandbaby to love. I know he/she will be just as darling as your granddaughter is....what a cutie. The hats your daughter makes are really nice. I wish her luck with her venture.
