leuchtenbergia principis seedling - 10 days old, hot pink in color

I have a leuchtenbergia principis seedling that is hot pink in color. I planted it as a seed 10 days ago. It germinated about 3 days ago. It's been bright hot pink since it germinated, or very shortly thereafter. The seedling is positioned about 9" from a HTG T5HO flourescent light for about 16hrs/day

Is it OK for seedlings to be this color at this stage in their development?

If it is receiving too much light, is it best to decrease the length of daylight, or position the plant farther from the light?

Thanks!

Mark
