Okay... am I the only one who almost had a nervous breakdown about this new format? I have been at rp for SO long that the email I originally used is now defunct. And I could not be twobigdogs... now I have to be bigdogstwo. I hope I can make the adjustment after 15-20 years.

Is everyone here? Did everyone find their way back?

Pam, there is a thread titled 'roll call' where many of the old crew have posted. I think once we get used to it, it will be fine.

Pam...You were not the only one! I had the start of a migraine...really....trying to work it out and finally decided to register afresh with Houzz.
I recently had an email from them with a different user name but my usual email address asking if I wanted to register from Gardenweb. Apparently I must have altered my name at some point but the original name always came up.
I think I shall leave things as they are. The email said that I should ignore it if I was already registered.

Boba..you do know Tide with Bleach Alternative has no oxy bleach in it...of course you know...lol..I also like Gain..currently have the original, with oxi and the lavender. The one with oxi is my fav Gain, smells like something from my past and I keep thinking it smells like old original Oxydol. Anyway if I use Downy Free with Gain the clothes smell light and fresh. I also agree that Gain is almost as good as Tide...P&G does make some great products, no doubts about it...if only they would work on the scents...but maybe they are or I'm imagining it, but seems like a lot of the different Tides are beginning to smell better even the pods.

Several months ago, I read that we would have a La Nina year up here, wetter and colder...but I really didn't think much of it. Now I know. Still, it is an interesting experience to see how plants that did well in SoCal (cistus, etc) not only do well up here, but have held up to all of this rain and heavy, heavy, numerous frosts...and some just absolutely thrive through the Winter. I've grown Coconut Scented Geranium for many years, but had no idea it would become so lush in this climate. I'd never before gardened in a climate like this...hardly any idea at all what to expect. We do have more rain coming yet and I do hope that this Winter does not happen again, at least for a good long time...I need to be outside almost every day... Did hear from a friend in the Sebastopol area that they've gotten 45" where they normally get 30" and the gopher holes are sinking in and becoming dangerous...LOL...

Linda, what a beautiful beautiful quilt! I love it. I can imagine finding the six values of each color was a challenge, but you did it so well. A quilt can never be too big, only too small.

Glad to see you back, Pam. You are not the only one who had difficulties finding her way around the new system. I still miss the old forum format, but am slowly learning to navigate the houzz format.

Pam, if you would prefer your old screen name to display on the forums, go to Your Houzz and click on Edit Profile. In the First Name box, type in TwoBigDogs. You'll still be stuck with the "new" user name but your old friends will recognize you. :)

You are definitely not the only one! I had to change my sign in name too, although they did fix it for me so it shows my former RP name . Apparently there was already a "rouan" registered with Houzz before they took over the gardenweb forums.

I just cleared my "History" which I should do more often, I suppose and lost RP as was usual on Gardenweb and I could get back easily.
This time I was connected to a page that asked me to put my username and email address for verification. Then when I did, told me I didn't exist!
Rather than go to Houzz Customer Service for help, I went onto an RP thread and hit "Write a comment" which then needed my email address and password and Hey Presto, I am back!
Just in case anyone else gets this problem.....

It is so nice to see old friends here. I would hate to lose you all after all this time together! Thank you for the helpful hints to get my old name back. But after some thought, it may be better to just keep it simple.
