About me: My favorite hobby is reading, followed by gardening (especially with herbs). I come from a family of readers, most of us have trouble keeping our noses out of books. I dabble in most genres but my favorites right now are sci-fi/fantasy and mystery.
I first became interested in herbs when I read a book called The White Witch. The character the book is named for used herbs for healing. That caught my interest, although it was many years before I could try to grow anything myself. I read as much on the subject as I could. I even took a non credit course on herbology that was offered by the local community college (I wish they would offer it again, I would get so much more out of it now! lol)
