Patricia, My Mother died the same exact way as yours. She had been suffering with a stiff neck for a couple of weeks. On Monday (June 4, 2007) she went to the hospital to get it checked. On Wednesday (6th) we found out she had liver cancer. It had spread to her adrenial glands, lungs and into her neck. On Sunday (10th) she was gone. She too went peacefully in her sleep. I know what you went through, she went really fast. Although this is all still new to me, I too feel your pain. Grieving is not easy for me right now. I smelt saukraut (sp?) the other day and thought it was kind of funny as I was driving down the road. I close my eyes and see her smiling face but yet I can not cry. Her services are this coming week end (17th/18th) and she is being buried on my son's (her grandson's) birthday. He is taking it so hard, but there is nothing I can do. I have talked till I was blue in the face and can not gt my brother to budge. I just hope I have the strength to go through this. With God's help we wil get through this. So what you are saying is that after you invited your friends,they invited their friends? If so that was pretty rude of them and I would probably tell them so!LOL Maybe you could call and make your reservations at a campsite far away from these people and tell "friends" it was the only site left available LOL Since it's a public camping area there's really not much you can do at this point.I guess just go and make the best of the situation (and remember next year not to invite your friends,LOL). I still think it was rude of them to invite someone else,knowing it is basically a family/close friends of DD's get together.Hope it all works out to be a pleasant outing.I know how just a few people can ruin it for everyone.

I say prayers for everyone in that situation whenever I am reminded of them. Like I said, I was only at the blood center and the families and friends all touched my life. It was scary at times, especially when he had a fungal infection that was not responding to antibiotics. His flesh was coming off and they didn't know what it was until the culture came back. Once they got the right stuff treating it, everything turned around. That was the infection that delayed his transplant, but as I said, he is nearly ready to return home now and was able to drive out for the day on Thanksgiving. It was great. I wish I could be there in person so you could see and feel the hope. I'll send all I can by angel wings.

Old style mice with the ball have two rollers inside: one for up and down and another for side to side. Very likely, the side-to-side roller is jammed or the optical sensor has failed. There is a slotted wheel on the end of each roller and rotation is sensed by optically reading the slots. Since it is a ball type, it is old and probably worn out. It is adviseable to replace the mouse. I recommend a simple optical mouse connected with a cord (tail). These are more reliable than the remote type. Most mice come with adapters to permit plugging into the standard PS2 port or a USB port. Optical mice will work on a variety of surfaces. However, they work best on surfaces that have a consistent texture or pattern such as a plain mouse pad without graphics. A finely woven cloth works too. A remote mouse using radio frequency link has more things to go wrong, although those are convenient. These require a receiver to be plugged into your computer and the mouse contains a transmitter and batteries. It should have auto shut off to conserve the batteries, and the batteries will need periodic replacement.
