I haven't bought anything today, but here are some deals that might be interesting to some of you.

Overstock has the Dyson Animal for $329, and they're advertising store-wide free shipping. And a bunch of other deals shown on this page.

Newegg has a Rosewill notebook computer cooling pad for $9.99 with free shipping. They have tons of other deals, too.

Staples has lots of deals, including a Xerox color laser printer for $149.98. No idea how much the toner costs, though. Color toner can break the bank.

Home Depot has lots of deals on power tools.

Check out Ebates before you buy anything on-line (whether appliances or t-shirts). It is a legit site and you get cash back on purchases if you click through their web site. Abt and AJ Madison are listed (but not for Miele). I got a nice check after remodeling my bathroom last year. Home Depot, Home Portfolio, Target, etc. had good rebates and you can still use all of the store's coupons. The rebates for some (not sure if it was all) stores doubled for Black Friday and I will be on the lookout again Cyber Monday. I got 10% off of my Ahava order on top of their 40% off coupon, so hopefully now I will look good when cleaning my new tub! Here is a link that might be useful: Ebates

I bought a 6 qt Instant Pot on Amazon for DD at a good price and a couple of flannel shirts for DH at Eddie Bauer. He likes slim fit tall. But EB notified me today one of the shirts is sold out! How could that be they let me buy it yesterday and now tell me it’s not available? I was not happy about that, especially since they were 50% off yesterday only. And of course it was the one I really wanted in his fave school colors. I also got the hiking poles for DGD with a $20 gift card to use later. So I’m saving it for another purchase. Also picked up a few other odds and ends for stocking stuffers or dirty Santa gifts.

Raven, thanks. I read those reviews on Amazon, but I think it's possible the one I bought directly from Motorola might be different from the one Amazon is selling. I'll see what it looks like when I get it. Definitely will need a case! The G7+ was only recently released in the U.S. For a couple of years it was available only in Europe. When it was finally released last month, it seems there are two versions of the same model involved. I don't know any more than that, but I'm sure I'll love it. The camera reviews are great. Although this will be my third smart phone, I've pretty much ignored the others, using them only for phone calls or texts when I had to. I don't have a cell signal at home, and the idea of checking email, etc., when I'm out never appealed to me. But it seems to be universally assumed that everyone has a smart phone with them at all times, and it's getting harder to do some things without the ability to tap and swipe, etc. So I'm going to sign up for my first data plan, and a new chapter begins. :-) Those boots are so cute! My daughter-in-law bought me a similar pair a couple of years ago, but in paisley.

Lisa, I did that last night! MIL is getting a big basket full of body washes for Xmas.

If you spend the $50. on certain Olay items you can also get a additional $20. rebate, meaning you'll get $50. worth of Olay products for $5.00! If I hadn't needed the body washes, I would have done this.

I was almost ripped off today. This morning I ordered a camera from Wolf Camera. It was advertised as $129 regular price and there was supposed to be a $50 instant rebate that would come off when the c card was charged (when shipped). I told a friend it seemed too good to be true and sure enough when I went back later - they had increased the regular price of the camera by $50. I sent them a live chat message and they told me my price would be $129. I ended up cancelling my order. I can get the camera cheaper elsewhere.

kathy-- doesn't that make you so darned mad??? I had been ready to place an order with Eddie Bauer with a coupon code, but nowhere on the screen did it mention that the discount would be applied BEFORE the card was charged. So I nixed the order and sent E.B. an email stating my problem. Never heard back from them. I've placed an incorrect order (Williams-Sonoma) before, and even though I called customer service immediately after, I was told they couldn't promise me a correction. Sure enough, no correction. Another email to company, and nothing.

I hemmed and hawed on the CVS deal. I ended up getting DH Mach3 razor blades and a box of band aids. The only other thing I bought today was a Kitchenaid hand mixer for $20 after rebate. I bought it, ran to pick DS up at school, came back to post about it, and it was already out of stock.
