The only one I even vaguely liked was number 1. I have a bidet in my rented bathroom and have a pot plant in it. I keep specific wet wipes next to the toilet and they go in the bin not the toilet. Just my 2 cents worth.

where I live, the entry level,is the ground floor and the floor one flag up is the 1st floor. In fact all over the world it is like this. Do you call your entry level, the 1st floor. I am confused.

Not sure about old US large cities, but in the Southeast (TN, KY, NC, etc) where we have rolling hills & the Smoky Mtns, lots are seldom flat, so we often build 'daylight, walkout' basements...more practical than an in-ground basement. Depending on how the house is set on the lot, he entry level from the front is usually ground level and is the Main Level or 1st floor. You will often note a house has the "master on the main" or "Main level living" which means just that...go up or down if you must or wish, but your bedroom, kitchen, and other living space / family room are on the Main / 1st floor...often with a deck and/or porch on the back of that level. Staircase up to 'attic' level (which can be completely finished into living space or only partly finished) is the 2nd floor. The lower floor (the basement walkout) opens onto a backyard and usually a lower patio and is referred to as the basement level. Depending on lot and house position (on a corner perhaps) you might be able to also have another ground level entry a floor lower than the Main Level. Confused now, lol?
