I can't stay logged in!

The KT doesn't look right when I submit a message.

Plus I'm getting lots of ads, duh!

Try logging in at the main forum page and then click on the KT. That worked for me yesterday and I haven't had to log in since.

Lydia, I just did and it didnt' work.

Well, logging in, did, but I have all these red X's on the side, lots of stuff!

It looks like it may be Early Blight and/or Septoria. I would remove the affected foliage, and spray the plant with a fungicide, such as Ortho Garden Disease or Daconil. Fungus can be controlled with a regular regimen of spraying.

The spot is nice, and never looks dried out, but never looks soaked. That whole area has probably been neglected since the house was built 12 years ago, which is probably why I have nice soil over there, leaves everywhere all the time. it will save me a ton of work if i plant there, every other area of my yard and garden beds is sand or clay.will running a lawn mower on mulch over some piles of winter leaves be ok for mulch over the beds? Maybe I should identify the maples before I pull them out. My neighbor has 3 Japanese maples directly across from where all these babies are, but I think I have a maple somewhere because of the amount that are showing up.They are about 1-2 ft now, and one 5ft one., normally the vines kill them but I killed the vines first. One is red with red leaves, one is green stem green leaves and then a bunch are red stem green leaves. Do you have baby ones come up? id love to see if any of mine are baby japanese maples because i would definitely transplant it if it was giong to be anything pretty. ill have to take pics of a few things that have shown up and maybe head over to the plant identification forum. last year the town cut down a flowering tree or shrub that i really liked and in the spot they cut it down are 5 unknown young shrubs.

Indigo, leave the house open for now so that the bluebirds do not get trapped inside and suffer the same fate as their eggs. They are probably just trying to figure out what happened to their potential family. You need to get a trap as soon as possible and take care of that house sparrow. It is the nature of male house sparrows to bond to a nestbox and once they have they will not leave!!! If something happens to their mate they will simply sit on top of the nestbox and cheep-cheep until they call another female house sparrow. You must trap the male in order for this nestbox to become safe for future bluebirds. I use two other versions of traps besides the Van Ert. I use a Huber trap, which I purchased at my local wild bird store, and I also use a Peterson trap which was made for me by a friend. Both work well, though are not as convenient to install as the Van Ert. Please keep us updated on what is happening. Kathy

First, I would try replacing your filter of the high MERV type with a standard, cheap (throw away) type. See if that solves your problem. This you can do yourself. Sometimes, those filters are too restrictive and can decrease the airflow across your evaporator coil such that the thing ices up. Second, (and you may want to consult a professional on this--definitely, absolutely cut the power to the unit first!) is to check your blower compartment and see if it is extremely dirty (or if the evaporator coil is extremely dirty). These factors can prevent adequate airflow across your evaporator coil thus increasing the likelihood that it ices up. Another good thing to check is to see if your OUTDOOR coil on your condensing unit is clean. If the thing is plugged with leaves, hair, dirt, dead grass, etc...this isn't good either. Third, you want to have a professional check your refrigerant charge on your unit. If all other factors are eliminated, an icing coil typically means low refrigerant charge. If the refrigerant charge is correct, then the thing to do as a "try" would be to have the technician (or yourself if you are so qualified) to increase your blower speed. This will decrease the likelihood that your coil ices up. Another possibility could be (unlikely) a stuck TXV valve or plugged metering orifice or a pinched lineset. Please (by all means) consult a professional if you do not feel qualified or able to do these things. A service call is only 100 bucks to check it out.

Several times now, I've tried logging in on the main page first and then coming to KT, and I still have to log in again.

It's getting very old very fast.

Are you checking the box that says "Keep Me Logged In" (or something like that)? Even after you log in and check the box...you have to make a post (or respond to a post) fot it to "keep you logged in".

Yes, I check the box that's supposed to keep me logged in, do that on any site where I have to log in.

So...guess folks just need to report the log in issues individually if one isn't staying logged in.

I'm not seeing any ads here at The KT, and never have seen any on GW until this past week. Now I am seeing them on those forums that are on the 'forums2' servor....ie Seed Exchange, Winter Sowing, etc.

Firefox and Adblock has always kept me ad-free so sometime later I'm going to remove both and reinstall them.

I have the same problem as Glenda. Never stay logged in, have to log in every single time I come to the Garden Web. I have the ad blockers up too but still have them popping up all over. This is very frustrating but it is reassuring to know others are having this same problem and it isn't just me...LOL
