Focus Demolition & Asbestos Removal

Older houses should also be assessed for signs of asbestos, which causes serious health effects that result in lung cancer and death to anyone who breathe in asbestos fibres. It's also wise to note that due the safety issues, asbestos removal should only be undertaken by the experts.

Restore All Concrete

Without
a doubt buying an older home will come with its problems - foundation cracks
and leaks are the most common. We find that the best way to address the
cracks in your foundation is using Polyurethane as it is the best material to
penetrate the concrete.

Here's an interesting thing I just learned as my husband and I contemplate renovating his family homestead (circa 1860s. Virginia. No AC, God help us.): Wifi signals can pass through brick just fine but get stopped dead by plaster and lath. So on top of installing AC, putting down plastic in all of the crawl spaces because they're not properly insulated, updating the kitchen and putting in a master bath, we get to crawl around under the house and run ethernet cables everywhere. Fun times!
