We are having an Advent Tea at our church this afternoon, which is always nice. We set up for it last night, and everything looks lovely. Other than that, I plan on checking my tree to see if I can make it shorter.....as it is, it's just too time-consuming to put all of those lights on it.

Do hope you feel better. Leg problems are not fun, I know. Mine seem to have been better since I changed blood pressure meds. Even thought it was not listed as a side effect anywhere, it happens.
We had planned to go to a play today, but since hubbie is down with a really bad cold, we cancelled it. Too cold for his lungs for awhile.

It's another yucky day here. Been raining ever since our GS got here Wednesday. He's been such a help. He moved a large armoire from one bedroom to another, including moving 2 TV's in the process and he helped Harry put together the new TV stand for our new TV which will be delivered next week. Plus, you have to love a guy who eats anything you put in front of him. We hadn't seen him since he was a teen--now he's 24--and it's so nice getting to know him all over again. He's very bright and reads a LOT! Wish he could stick around longer but he leaves tomorrow for Miami to visit his other grandmother and relatives. He's a joy!

This afternoon is the big SEC Alabama-UF game so we're going to tailgate at home. I have shrimp cocktail, chicken salad sandwiches on croissants, Fritos w/guacamole, pretzels w/mustard and an olive-pickle plate. Later I'll make a pizza. I'll make brownies later to go with the peppermint stick ice cream, too.

Good morning, Sue.. Burr, it sure is cold.I hate to even go out today. I do think I will go out later and get the rest of what I need for our family Christmas next weekend. I am going to make out a list and see just what I need.. I can't believe it is almost here..

Our SIL has flown to Flordia for a few days. His Mother is bad. She has cancer and they don't give her much time. They say she may not make it through Christmas. So sad. He will be back on Monday. Larry and I are going to pay for him to fly back again next weekend. Hate that he has to be so far away.

I got your card yesterday. Wonderful surprise. Now, I need to get mine out.. I love doing it.

My poor body hurts today. Darn Ole Arthy! He just keeps kicking his ole heels up.. I am going to keep on fighting him all I can..

Oh, I am walking better now. It really isn't just my knee it is more from my back. I sat the wrong way yesterday for a little bit and when I got up, wouldn't you know, can't walk once again. Yes, the knee needs to be replaced but it was the back causing me not to be able to walk. I am now puppy sitting or rather Izzi is with KC. Such fun they have! Wish I had half the energy. I put Izzi's flea treatment on her last night, Cheryl pets her today and then for some reason she puts her finger in her mouth. Not a good taste! I told her at least she won't be bothered with fleas! I have my sweet potato casserole in the oven. I am going to work on my pies in a little bit. An apricot one and the black raspberry one. Yipphee! It is up to about 25 now outside, but sun is shining! Everyone have a great day.

Good Afternoon Sue!! I was making Buckeye's and decorating cinnamon ornaments at 2am and finally crawled into bed about 4 so I'm getting a late start...gonna finish the Buckeye's today...finish the ornaments and try to make some veggie soup for tonights supper...The day will fly by I'm sure!

The pies are in the oven. Two black raspberries and the apricot one. I will give one black raspberry pie to Cheryl when she comes to pick up KC. I have two unbaked pie shells chilling. Those I hope to use for a Sugar Cream Pie and take to church as well. The oven is full and I am taking a break. I think I need to make some iced tea! House smells like pie!

Ummmm, apricot pie. My mother used to make fried apricot pies with dried apricots. Hadn't thought about those in years. Back then dried apricots were a lot cheaper and more readily available than fresh and, of course, frozen was unheard of. I must admit I have no idea how she made those pies but we sure loved them. Thanks for the memory.

Everyone is so busy, I'm jealous. I'm recuperating from a bug that's left me with uncontrollable coughing and feeling unwell. Thursday night I got some strong prescriptions, so the cough is getting under control, and I'm healing, but I have absolutely no energy. I took yesterday off work and slept most of the day. Today I'm not sleeping so much, so that's an improvement, but I have no energy to do anything. Hopefully, tomorrow I can get some shopping done or something.

It is 37 degrees and snowing, we have about 2 inches on our deck right now and I am sure we will get more.
I am busy in the kitchen already made some rice krispie treats, in the process of making goulash and maybe some pecan ball cookies.
My back and legs are really bothering me today, surgery is in 10 days. Hoping this one will help if not it will be fusion on my back :-(
Marilyn, I am glad you are feeling better today and I know about Mr. Arthur he visits me every once in awhile.
