well i know the only man who has never worn jeans LOL that would be my dad LOL. he does not own nor has ever worn jeans. i once bought him a very nice pair of greg norman plaid golfing shorts but he never wore those either. he is a suits man (has a double closet of just suits), he wears khaki's (summertime) or cords (winter) on sat. & sundays or for the rare time he cuts his own grass lol. he could be fixing a broken furnance or cleaning the chimmney and he will only dress down to khaki's/cords LOL. he wears slacks while golfing even if it's in the 90's never ever shorts. i don't ask why just now buy what i know he will wear...stuff that goes w/ suits LOL ~ liz

First husband never wore jeans. His casual clothes were golf pants in summer, and heavier weight washable pants.
Never saw my father in jeans, either. Again, golf clothes and heavier weight pants.

That's about all I do wear anymore. Jeans thats is.

Now the ONLY women's slacks I've ever thought had any "chic-ness" to them were what I call The Katherine Hepburn Slacks from the 1930ties-40ties. Usually of a very fine wool gabardine or crepe. (I'm a fabric snob at heart as my maternal grandmother, who I grew up with, was a fabulous dressmaker/tailor---unfortunately, I inherited none of this talent from her).

I adhere to the philosophy that you can't have too much denim. Wear slim jeans, loose tops, and have a couple of denim dresses. Love them with silver jewelry.

I wore them as a teen in the 50's but never thought they were comfortable for me. Since I was always tall, even as a child, I am long between the waist and crotch so they were just too short in the crotch. I know they've changed and they come in every style and size now but I still never feel really comfortable in them.

I do have a pair with an elastic waist and a denim capri with an elastic waist but I have seldom worn them. It's too hot for me to wear them here in Hawaii but my DD wears them all the time.

I live in jeans, all colours. What I don't like are some of the styles, low risers, button front, tight leg etc. Just a good ole pair of jeans for me :)

No, you aren't the only one - I don't like them either! I wear denim STRETCH pants with an elastic waist when I ride the motorcycle, but that's it!

Yes, some jeans are uncomfortable and don't wear well. I get the stretch jeans when possible, if they don't feel good on I don't wear them. No low rise for me.

I hate to wear jeans. I wore them when I was younger. Last year I bought two pair, 1 light and 1 dark. They are so uncomfortable not worth it to wear them. I dress for comfort. If it doesn't feel as comfy as PJ's I don't wear it. LOL!

My Dad also never wears jeans of any kind. He is 90 and always dresses formally! I do wear jeans although since I am sooo short I can never find anything to fit right.

DS is 25 and he never wears jeans- he hasn't worn them since grade 8. He always wears khaki's or dress pants. He is very slender, and would look nice in them, but he just won't wear them.

For myself, I have dressier jeans, and every day jeans. I wear the dressier jeans about once a week, and I hardly ever wear the other jeans.

I bought one pair in the 90's when I was taking line-dancing lessons (along with a pair of western boots) but only wore them when I was going to the lessons, they were just not comfortable. I still have the boots, the jeans went to the second hand store.

I do not and will not wear jeans. Hate them. Give me nice soft comfortable slacks or sweatpants. I have jeans dresses that I love.

I guess you're not the only one based on the above replies. I'll add though that I love jeans, have them in every color I can get, and wear them all the time. We have casual dress code at work so I even wear them to work a couple times a week in spite of the fact I'm in an executive level position (I sometimes wonder if I'd ever be able to do this at a similar job in another company). I'm 53 and I keep wondering if the time is going to come when for some reason I won't like wearing jeans any more. They've been a mainstay of my wardrobe since college. I wore them in HS also but I also wore a lot of nicer clothes. Once I hit college that's about all I wore.

Never saw a pair on my mom or dad ever. They are passed now so I never will either.

Altho I don't currently own a pair (because I've put on too much "bottom" weight), I wore jeans in my younger years. I don't think either of my daughters (Twenty-somethings) wears jeans. They each have their own "signature" look. Older DDis a fashion student, younger DD is a hair dresser.

My best friend never wears them. She's 3 years younger than me and because of her pants /blouse outfits is frequently taken for my mother. She doesn't even wear jean cut slacks. Just those loose fitting old lady pants.

I have a pair or 2 in my closet, but I think I've worn them perhaps once. Jeans are the hardest items to fit, I think. And some can be heavy and make me feel uncomfortable. I like plain old twill pants. But every so often I'll get a catalog in the mail and think maybe I should try a different style of jeans--that maybe THOSE will be the magical ones! Yeah, right...

My grandmother never wore a pair of pants in her entire 89 years. Niether did any of her friends. Every dress she wore had a matching apron and always a brooch for a finishing touch.

I wear jeans and dockers. I like Lee jeans for their comfort and fit. I hate it when I see women stuff themselves into jeans that are way too small. It looks so uncomfortable...ouch!

Just kidding! :-) I live in jeans, and love them hence my User Name :-) I am a denim fanatic and even have a fine collection of denim jackets, jewellery, purses and even a denim sweatshirt. I think I died and went to heaven when Coach came out with their denim collection (I am a big Coach fan, too)

BUT .. I know not everyone feels the same way I do, and it's probably a good thing! lol My Mother hated them and could never understand my attraction to them.

As a matter of fact, I know several who don't wear jeans.

It's all a matter of individuality! I say go for what you feel good wearing! For me, I don't feel "me" if I'm not in blue jeans.

When I'm 90 I'll still be wearing blue jeans and rockin and rollin in my rocker! LOL

In the 1970s when I was in high school no one wore jeans yet, if fact I'm not even sure the girls wore any kind of long pants. I didn't. After graduation I went to work and wore nice dresses, ect. In the 1980's I became a "back to earth" type and musician! I was comfortable in long skirts and even vintage dresses. That continued for years, and it took me a long time to get used to wearing jeans. Why I started, I'm not sure. Now it's practically all I wear, still not 100% comfortable in them, but they are easy to grab and throw on.

I still have all my skirts, but I just don't look as good in them as I used to! And the vintage items, I can't even get an arm into those small blouses. :(

I wear jeans almost all the time and have since I was in high school. I'm 54 now. My mom who was born in 1924 had a pair but usually wore other slacks, she rarely wore skirts.

I don't like wearing any kind of fitted pants, including jeans. I have two pair and I do wear them, but I'd rather not. Skirts have always been more comfortable for me -- unless I was riding horseback! LOL (And THAT'S a long time ago, folks.)

I'm 5' 6" and 115 - 120 lbs. I just don't like the constriction of pants -- waist, crotch, knees. End of the day, I'm -- whoosh -- into a robe!

In the 50's we had jeans with side zippers so my friend and I bought jeans in the men's dept. We had to try them on in the men's dressing room which was a giggling good time. I have worn jeans since, but not exclusively. I loved my "house dresses" in the 60's. Jeans are stretchy now and I can wear them all the time, I put on just enough weight to make them uncomfortable, so I wear 100% polyester around the house. I never wear knit pants. I hate them.

I wear jeans a lot. I find them very comfortable, when I can find the right size. Problem is they don't seem to make the right size any more. I'm short waisted and I need a petite size of whatever fits. Petites are all about 4 inches too long, regardless of the brand.

I only have 2 pair now and I keep looking. I also don't like to have to consider all the different "styles" like boot cut, wide leg, relaxed fit, low rise.

It was easier years ago to buy jeans, and don't get me started on those good Hanes sweat pants and shirts. Why did they quit making them?

I love my jeans. Always have. In the winter I wear either jeans or sweats around the house. The only time I don't wear jeans is in the summer when I wear bermudas.

I have wear around the house jeans, go to the store jeans, and dress jeans.

We are 3 generations of jeans women. The difference is the waist. I have to have mine at the waist. DD an DGD are low rise girls.

We wear them everywhere except to church. We do have other (uncomfortable) clothes for certain occasions.

Yes I wear the Gloria Vanderbilt stretch jeans...very comfortable when I go somewhere......but take them off when I come home into something big and baggy...

I can't imagine a life without jeans! I am 51 5'11 and after growing up struggling to find jeans long enough I am in heaven now! Can't count how many pairs I have, of course, grew up in jeans on a horse and cattle farm. Now in the big city, love the shopping!

I never once saw my grandmother in pants of any type. My mom wore pants but never jeans. Me, I'm a jeans girl. Went to college in the middle 70s with two pairs of (often dirty) jeans and a couple of plaid flannel shirts, and that was about all. I've worn jeans ever since, with occasional switching to corduroys in winter.

My ex-daughter-in-law wore her jeans so tight, they looked like they were painted on. she had to lay down to get them fastened, ant that took a LOT OF EFFORT. I used to say to her, I see your wearing your Tourniquet again. That look so very uncomfortable, I don't understand how she could stand that all day.

My mother wouldn't let me wear jeans--I had to be dressed as a lady at all times. As a child, she sent me out to play in dresses (pinafores, for the older crew), with bows in my hair. I never got dirty...even climbing trees!

So, when I turned 30, I decided to rebel, and bought 2 pairs of jeans. They were size 6, so they looked good on me. But I hated them. They were uncomfortable. They were my first, last, and only jeans.

Now that I'm retired that's about all I ever wear!

My Mom never wore jeans but as soon as pant suits came into vogue in the 50's and 60's that about all she ever wore . What a relief for her not to put on the girdle and fasten nylon stockings (and she was in her 80's)

My mother and her generation of women in our family never wore jeans. She hated them. It took a long time for her to wear pants but she did eventually. I wore dungarees as a little kid and then wore jeans from my teens to the present. I wear them all the time..love GAP and Old Navy ones and low risers. Can't stand the ones which come up to my waist as I am short-waisted.In my hippie days, mine were covered with peace signs.
