eyebrow tattooing?
Comments (6)I had mine done and I don't regret it one bit; yes it looks phony but it does look much better than the crayon. I'll be getting a touchup eventually, the color does fade slightly. As for sagging, I don't think eyebrows sag dramatically, if they went down, the makeup line would just go down a bit, imo. It's a painful process though, and you have a scabby area for at least 7 days, which you have to keep moist with a vaseline type ointment like baccitracin, makes your brows look very dark, until it gradually scabs off....See MoreOlder women part 2 - EYEBROWS
Comments (30)Plucked and groomed my eyebrows for years and years. Used an old soft toothbrush to brush them -- in both directions. Brush-Brush-Brush .... REALLY works! :) Use a variety of soft brown pencils to VERY lightly color the hairs -- which are now so light-gray-white that my brows appear invisible. Keep the pencils well sharpened -- and try just VERY lightly dragging the SIDE of the color tip along your brows. As a redhead -- my natural hair lost its own color in the early 1990s and I have been coloring it since then to ashy-shades of blonde. I read YEARS and YEARS ago (LOL!) that brows should extend to the outer corner of the eye -- and curve lightly. Does anyone remember the old tip about holding a regular pencil against the side of your nose to gauge to starting point of your brows -- and then holding the pencil at an angle from the side/bottom edge of your nose and to the end of your eye to gauge the end of the brow? And after years of observing brows on older gals -- I must agree with that tip!...See MoreEyebrows
Comments (28)I have naturally medium brown hair, but my eyebrows are black. I've thought about having them lightened a bit, but am too lazy to keep it up. They used to be perfectly arched, but as Oakley mentioned, mine too have become a bit sparse in recent years at the outer edges. And like you, Oakley, I tried using eyelash serum on them, only to have crazy eyebrow hairs sprouting noticeably outside my eyebrow line! Never apply that stuff before you go to bed for the night! I think that caused it to spread. Ugh! And so, black eyebrow pencil looks too harsh, and the dark brown looks too reddish. I'm forced to seek out the hard to find blackish--brown pencil. Still not perfect, but it just makes me very careful when using it....See MoreEyebrows For The Aging
Comments (40)I happened upon this tutorial linked below on YouTube the other day. I quite liked what the presenter said about makeup and the mature skin. I truly like her advice about eyebrows. She does half face with what she doesn't recommend and half face with what she does recommend. Hope this helps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWadDTNl15A After watching the tutorial, to try the method, I purchased an inexpensive Revlon ColorStay Brow Kit in 101 Soft Black (my hair is very dark streaked with gray) to use on my brows and for the eyeshadow a Maybelline New York Soft Pearl. I have only tried them one time so far and honestly liked the look much better than what I was doing before with an eyebrow pencil....See MoreGeorgysmom
