ER visit for the boys's Mom this afternoon

DD and the boys live in a split level house.

There are 5 or 6 steps going down, then your on the landing entryway and then its 5 or 6 steps going up.

She was in the lower level where the computer is and while going up the steps reached in right pocket to get her cell phone out. She fell, put her left hand out to catch herself, hit the curved part of the steps and felt it bend and heard it snap, pop or crack she wasn't sure which cause she felt pain at the same time. I can't remember if she said both her left ring and little fingers knuckle was way out of place and already swelling.

Drew was sleeping, (Hunter is up here with us) the walk in clinic closes at 1pm on Saturdays so no other choice but ER...she has a bad break and surgery hasn't been ruled out yet. They splinted it and wrapped it and said once the Ortho see's her and the xrays they will either order surgery or cast it. They told her she'd hear by tomorrow if he wants surgery. SHe is sooooo pissed at herself and feels so stupid and worried it would mean a cast for the wedding.

I am sure the cast at the longest will be 6 possibly 8 weeks the absolute longest. So it will be off before Oct 25th.

Drew got to go with the xray guy to see Mommies hand picture. He came back into the roomand very soberly looked at her and said "Mommie?" She says "yes?" Drew says "your hand is BROKE!!" :D He is 3.

She is thankful its not her right hand (she is right handed) but still needs that left hand for lots and lots. She is payroll co-ordinator at her company and does tons of paperwork and computer work.

If you could would you repeat a few times "NO surgery" for her with me I'd be grateful.
