Does anyone remember a post from long ago

Long time ago someone posted a joke that was so darn hilarious I actually cried reading it!

It was about a guy and this helium balloon, he'd woke up in the night and saw it hovering above him about has a heart attack and falls down the stairs....thats the most I can remember. It wasn't a short joke.

I'd love to print it out for my Uncle Gene in the nursing home. He loves things like that....does anyone remember what I am talking about?

No but I'll be watching this to read it, if anyone finds it.

We actually had one once that when it lost some of it's "gas" it floated around about the height of a human.

It was black with an alien glow in the dark face on it...

Scared the heck out of me several times and the kids too. It moved around the house in the dark (and the day time..but not so scary then) going up and down the basement stairs, with it's glow in the dark eyes "glowing"...spooky...very spooky

I'll watch to see if any one remembers the joke too.

We had something like that happen to us. This balloon was losing some of it's gas and floated about face high, all over the house. I don't know why we didn't just bust the dang thing, bit it was kind of amusing to see where we would find it in our multi-level house. One night I felt something brushing against my face while sleeping, and woke up with it hovering over me. I got up and put it in the closet. We were getting ready to move and the house was pretty empty. The next day, I went around to check to see if all the closets were empty, and when I opened our closet door, that dumb balloon was right there, face high. Scared the heck out of me. I'm pretty sure I it did it in, then. It's amazing how long they last. Dottie

I have psoriasis on the scalp and it is driving me crazy! I use T-gel every night like my dermatologist tells me to do. If I don't, the scales just keep getting harder, thicker and I'm so embarrassed by it. My hair has got a little thinner in places. I can't go one day without washing my hair. I have the psoriasis also on my elbows, one knee and some on my back. I also have it in my ears and behind them. I don't have it bad over my body but my scalp!!! Oh my, I think there isn't a clean spot on my head. I drench my head in olive oil...really any oil I can get. Put a shower cap on and leave it on during the day. If I use the cap at night the krinkle of it keeps me awake...LOL There is another psoriasis called Inverse psoriasis. You can get that under your breast, groin areas, arm pits, just anywhere there is a crease in the skin. It looks like a burn, feels like a burn and hurts! Psoriasis is inherited and my Daddy had it really bad. I didn't come down with it until I was 40 years old...after I quit smoking. I guess the stress of that brought it on. I pray my daughter doesn't inherit psoriasis. So far I don't have any arthritis. My doctor told me that some people get psoriasis arthritis and some don't. I don't believe everyone with psoriasis get rhuematoid arthritis. I know several people with psoriasis and they don't have it either. I just wish someone would find a cure for it. It is the T cell 1 that is the cause of it all. T cell 1 causes your body to attack its own skin, thinking there is an infection or other ailment going on. If they could just turn off the T cell 1 without turning off the other T cells perhaps the internal medicines would help more without doing damage. We would have all the other T cells to keep infection at bay. I hope your child can get some relief from her psoriasis. I hate to see a child suffering from this. As an adult with it I can handle peoples comments or stares. If they are brave enough to make smart aleck comments to me I hope they are big enough to handle what I will say to them! But a child is just so vunerable and self conscious. God love her...I hope something helps her soon. Deb

I think people peel the husk back to see what the kernels look like before they buy them. You never know if the kernels are mature inside the husk or if there are worms or empty spots, ect. Now if they find a good ear and peel it and put it back, that would chap me. Kinda like peeling a banana and then trying to put the peel back on so it doesn't ruin. Doesn't work that way. But I have seen people checking out the kernels before they buy.

Ah, but no littlegreeny. I somehow don't remember Solo detergent. I watched the video you linked and it stirred, well, nothing. Oh well. My house growing up was a White King D detergent household--no exceptions. haha Mom was not big on housework and even less thrilled to run laundry loads. I suspect WKD was the least costly of all the offerings at the time. Your memory is pretty good too if you remember when you mentioned the scent connection of Tide w/Oxi and Bold! I wish you could use the Tide w/Oxi in your household, just for old time's olfactory sake.

Her farm is only and hour and a half away from me, so with the quick shipping time to my house I am excited to see how well they do for me. Heirloom roses is all the way across the country and this year it took 10 days from the day they shipped my order for them to get to me. I was a nervous wreck!

Once for my daughter's birthday, I bought her a helium ballon "bouquet" of six ballons. Put it in her bedroom. Her pet cockatoo was frightened and flapped his wings and tried to get out of his cage. Her dog barked at them. Apparently helium balloons frighten animals. All the noise ruined her birthday morning.

We got the boss helium filled balloons one year for his birthday. He gave each of us one or two to take home with us at the end of the day. The offices on my level had VERY high ceilings and I couldn't reach the string to take mine with me so I left it, hovering around at 12 ft above the floor. As the night wore on, the balloon started to sink. It went in front of the activated motion detector in my office. You guessed it.....the police were notified in the middle of the night that there was an intruder in our building. Guns were drawn, 'intruder' was told over a bullhorn to come out with his hands up, etc. Needless to say, there were never anymore balloons allowed in our building.

Well shoot Flamey! I tried to do a search but put in helium balloon joke. Nothing. Then tried balloon jokes. Still couldn't find it.

I LOL'd at the KT jokes too! Funny things, these helium containers!
