What's For Supper Sunday?

I am thinking of just fixing bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches. I have some nice tomatoes from my garden. I will probably make up some iced tea and also have some of the leftover Banana Picnic Cake. Have the rest of you thought about what you are having?

I am having what you are I am coming over LOL!
I am not sure fixing to go to the grocery store but those sandwichs are on my list this week so maybe just have them tonight...
I am going to do some baking early early in the morning so we can have muffins and a cake this week....stacy

For supper we had creamy chicken soup and grilled cheese. Applesauce too.

Sis in law is making ice cream for DS today. A College send off and a good excuse to have the families together.

I'm marinating some steaks to grill for dinner, which I'm thinking will be late after all the mid afternoon sweets.
Potatos and corn on the grill sounds good with steaks. OH, it would be nice to find a big red tomato out on the plants out back. Crossing the fingers.

meldy, I've been on strike about six weeks. My husband works long, weird, never-know-when-he's-coming-home hours. I got so tired and not knowing when he was coming in...not that I minded he has to work weird hours...that's part of his job. It was not knowing when to have dinner ready. Cook early, he comes in late. Plan to cook late, he's home early. There are only so many things that reheat well and after a time, I had had enough. I even tried having him call me as he left his work place and I would 'finish up' as he drove home. Well, you know what happened with that one... Half the time he would forget to call and the other half he would be called by in for something. Since he is doing the cooking, he is also buying the groceries. I thought that went together well. He knows what he needs for meal preparation, etc., what we are out of... He called me this morning to tell me to plan on going out for breakfast in the morning. Works for me!!

Tonight is chicken with yellow rice and crusty rolls. Harry will be so happy! Since the chicken has peas in it, no need for anything else, but we'll have pears. We like fruit with dinner.

lasagna, my 7 y/o and I decided. It's his favorite. And I guess I picked up a stray-- kid, that is. Teen boy, specifically. I assume he'll be eating here-- again. I know there are some here who survived the days of keeping teen boys fed, with an extra now and then. ;o) Yesterday I told the boy if I fed him again he was getting added to the chore list.

We're getting ready for our 21 year-old granddaughter's visit. She flies in Saturday morning and we'll pick her up in Orlando. She's just a sweetheart and I haven't had her all by herself since they moved from Florida when she was 3 or 4. Guest room is ready and just need to do some last minute clean-up. I'm so excited!! She's a great photographer and takes all the pictures for her college yearbook. She made me a Mother's Day card which was a collage of nature photos she'd taken. She's going to give me lessons while she's here so I can post pictures. Paid bills, made out a grocery list and a list for Wal-Mart. Did the ususal daily stuff--pick up, make the bed, etc. Dinner tonight is a chicken breast that's in the crockpot right now with a tarragon mustard sauce. We'll have that with rice and DH's favorite--peas. Still have picnic cake. I should have brought it to the KT!!

I'm going through the same thing, Stacy. DS is moving out at the end of the week, right now he is gone to a cottage. I feel so sad about him leaving.

Oh, dinner! Chicken on the bbq, twice baked potatoes, sauteed cauliflower, corn on the cob and home made pound cake with strawberries for dessert.

Roast Beef, but not sure what else! Our son went to college, graduated in May and moved back home! I am secretly glad he is back! He'll be getting a place of his own when he can get on his feet.

Carne asada burritos and tortas. We get the best marinated skirt steak at a Mexican supermarket here. It is scrumptious. If I want to make sure DS is here for dinner...I have carne asada.

My sister gave me a mess of mullet, it was already cleaned and filleted too!

So I fried that up with cheese grits, hush puppies and oven fried taters. I was actually shocked she called and offered me that mullet but I sure did appreciate it! It was sooooo good!

Since we had some good tomatoes, we had BLTs and soup! No dessert was planned, but there is always some cookies or fresh fruit around here. :o)
