Whether you’re looking to create a beach-inspired supper hot spot or want to redesign a kitchen corner for hosting dinner guests, these trending dining rooms on Houzz have you covered. Here are 10 popular dining rooms, as measured by the number of people who’ve saved photos of them to their Houzz ideabooks in recent months. Tell us in the Comments which space you’d most want to host a dinner party in.
1. Beachy-keen. With its access directly onto a white, sandy beach in Florida, this dining room plays up the casual chic look. Slipcovered chairs and a rustic table encourage guests to come right in from the surf and plop down for a dinner with stunning views.

2. Rustic radiance. This rustic farmhouse-inspired dining room uses a wealth of materials to create a well-layered look. Wicker Key Largo chairs, repurposed galvanized steel, burlap chandeliers and grasscloth blinds complement one another while adding multiple textures to the space.
3. Industrial elegance. This industrial loft embraces its features to the fullest. Instead of trying to divert attention from the exposed pipes and factory-style windows, the decor decisions double down on them. The dining table, chairs and bench all feature blackened-steel legs; a large steel bookshelf serves as a stylish room divider; and the black and white concrete tiles in the kitchen backsplash add an exciting pattern that complements the room’s color scheme.
4. A round of applause. Having your furniture selections mimic a room’s architectural details often makes for a pleasing visual. This Los Angeles dining room makes the most of its decorative ceiling with a round dining table directly underneath the circular molding.
5. Sea foam sensation. This Maine dining room features a killer view of the Atlantic, and the space pays homage with its walls and cabinetry painted in sea foam green. The glass-topped dining table and clear pendant lights add to the fresh, airy feel of the room.

6. White and wood wonder. Designer Clare Gaskin embraced and amplified the wood stairs and white tile floors in this London dining room. The stylish pendant light and similarly hued wood legs of the dining table and chairs mix well with the crisp white walls, chair seats and tabletop. Sometimes two tones is all you need to make a room a standout.
7. Chic corner. This kitchen corner in a Minneapolis showcase house is a great example of making the most of limited space. Design Forty Five outfitted a built-in bench with an assortment of cozy and stylish pillows. The dining table features a custom base created by Tristan Thiel and a live-edge wood top.

8. Striped stunner. Lines, lines, everywhere lines. From the ceiling rafters to the stair railing to the wall panels and the stripes on the slipcovered chairs, this New Hampshire dining room designed by the team at New England Design Elements has stripes and then some. Thanks to the various shades of blue used as a grounding force, the lines don’t overwhelm.

9. Designer details. If you want to add some visual interest to an all-white dining room, such as this one in Boston designed by Twelve Chairs, attention to detail can make a world of difference. The yellow-painted legs of the dining table add a pop of color that connects to the brass light fixture. Modern leather chairs from Jayson Home create a nice juxtaposition with the antique settee also used for seating.

10. Midcentury glam. This remodeled 1958 bungalow in Marin County, California, was designed by BK Interior Design and, for the most part, it features many of the midcentury furniture pieces one would expect to see. But the dining room’s 1970s Venini chandelier dripping with crystals adds a surprising touch of glam to the space.

As a premier custom table designer and manufacturer in Texas, I was glad to see mid-century and live edge which are two styles that we find are very popular in our custom requests. Mid-century seems to be getting hotter and hotter while live edge is timeless IMO. Shaker and Mission style furniture is also something for others to consider. We do a lot of live edge as we literally salvage trees & re-purpose them into rare pieces of furniture, so it was nice to see the round live top in #7 but I'm not so sure about that base. I have to give the base designer credit for a one of a kind base! Almost looks like it belongs in a sci-fi movie. Certainly opposes the style of the top. Here is a native Texas pecan table in Shaker style for reference:

love #7.
It is a beautiful use of limited space, certainly makes you want to sit down and get comfortable.
