Banana, peanut butter and mayo. I don't know how "summery" it is but I just started craving them. Or maybe because I'm trying to lost ten pounds before mid-August. LOL

I can hardly wait until the tomatoes ripen, but I won't buy any as there is nothing like your own right off the vine. Then it's BLT time, with toasted homemade bread. Yummmmm!

BLT or just mater sandwiches, egg salad or tuna salad sandwiches.

Gotta be BLT, except I don't buy lettuce any more. It goes bad before I can use it up. I substitute cucumber slices and that also adds a crunch that I like. So I have a BCT. Try it. you'll like it!

Tuna salad on multi-grain bread with spicy mustard and alfalfa sprouts.

BLT with mayo on homemade bread with salt and pepper using my homegrown tomatoes and perhaps a leaf or two of fresh basil.

Thick juicy red home grown tomato slice on soft home baked white bread, with mayo, salt & pepper. After the first one of the summer, than bacon and lettuce can be added to the toasted bread.. Oh yeah babeeeeee..

I rarely eat it anymore but my favorite has to be NO bread, just place a thick slice of bologna on a plate, spread it with miracle whip, add thick slices of peeled/sliced fresh tomato, another slice of bologna. Guess I'll have to wait a while for it this year as the beefsteak tomatoes aren't ready in my area yet.

BLT with vine ripened homegrown tomatoes!

Our tomatoes are ready...I like tomato ,lettuce and mayo with any of the following,,Bacon,Braunsweiger,egg salad,Salami,or chicken salad.Its hard to pick a favorite but i am partial to the bacon and Braunsweiger.

Anything with a homegrown tomato is YUMMY. I don't eve need the bacon, just tomato, avocado, sliced red pepper and sliced cucumber with HELLMANS (yuck to Miracle Whip). mmmm......

Favorite summertime sandwich? Easy. An ice cream sandwich!

More conventional ones I can eat year round. I like a variety of sandwiches. Something with a mixtures of turkey, ham and pepperoni is always a winner.

BLT of course, but I also love a fresh lobster roll on Cape Cod.

Another vote for the very popular homegrown tomato sandwich! Salt, pepper, just a little mayo or a drizzle of olive oil on ciabatta...heaven!

Bacon, tomato and avocado sandwiches on toasted bread are my favorite. Egg and olive comes in second place followed closely by tuna salad.

Sliced egg, avocado,chicken livers and mozzarella cheese on heavy grain bread in a panini maker for 90 seconds.

I wish I liked tomatoes, but eating even a piece of a raw one will make me gag. It's a shame cause they are on everything and so many people love them.

My favorite is fresh ciabatta bread, spread with pesto, topped with fresh mozzarella and marinated artichoke hearts then grilled till the cheese is melty and the bread has a crunch to it. Soooo good.

I don't eat them anymore but boy are they amazing.

When I make sandwiches for lunch, I make two, one for me and one for DH. Recently we were sitting here munching on BLTs, and as I was getting toward the end of the sandwich, I asked DH if he noticed that --- when we have BLTs, he NEVER gets that last 1/4 of my sandwich that I usually can't finish. He said "I sure did notice that!" I never turn over that last portion to him when it is a BLT, but every other kind I do -- oh, wait I also always finish a grilled cheese (but the is a winter sandwich.)

I'm surprised at all the BLT SW's. I don't like to turn on the oven or stove top in Summer. LOL!

I make Veggie Sandwiches: Pineapple Cream Cheese, Turkey, Mushroom and Spinach. Sometime Cucumber, Tomatoes or whatever I have. Sometimes it's just a Lettace Wrap with Swiss/Turkey & Whatever.

I have a tomato garden and eat them constantly till the last one and then none till the next summer. What passes as tomatoes in the store is a pale comparison.

I eat BLTs year-round, but they are the best with a home-grown tomato. I also like to add a slice of American cheese.

Duke's mayo! Havarti cheese! Indeed, made in heaven.

I love a thick slice of fresh tomato, with a very thin slice of red onion, on multi-grain bread, slathered with Duke's mayonnaise and sprinkled with black pepper and salt.

And a glass of unsweetened iced tea. Or sometimes an ice-cold REAL coke. What a special summer treat.

Either BLT with garden tomatoes or garden tomatoes on grilled cheese. So, far only paste tomatoes in the garden but I may just have to cut them into slices and use them in a sandwich.

Big red juicy tomato and sweet onion with mayo and plenty of salt and pepper! Oh Gosh.....I think I am drooling.

ALTO: Avocado, lettuce, tomato, onion with Best Foods Mayo with Olive Oil, on a nice 7 grain bread. No Miracle Whip here!! IF I happen to have some sliced turkey or chicken I might put that on, but not often. And of course the tomatoes and onions HAVE to be homegrown!
