oh, there's a sandwich shop here that makes the best. your choice of bread, baby shrimp, sprouts, slices of avocado, cheese, and a thousand island type of dressing. i am drooling just thinking about it. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I love creamy chicken salad on white. I don't get it often but I just love it when I do. My second choice would be egg salad. Yummm.

The deli on the next Island serves one very similar Annette, except it has cream cheese, cucumber slices, and no 1000 Island. It's called a "shrimpie", I agree it is the best ever!

Ham salad, except it is made with ground balogna, a little onion, pickle relish and Miracle Whip. My nice sister-in-law would always buy me a tub of it when we went to her summer cottage.

Pimento cheese for ribbon sandwiches!

Thinly sliced, smoked ham + provolone cheese + mayonnaise mixed with mustard, topped with a bit of lettuce and thinly sliced onion and tomato - a real 'hero' sandwich!

I always have a tall glass of cold 2% milk and a side of potato salad - YUMMMY!!!

Broken fresh lobster meat a dash of fresh dill with a dab or Cains mayo on a toasted New England style hot dog roll.

Real turkey, a bit of mayo, cranberry sauce, leftover stuffing on rye bread (or a big fat roll). hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

All time favorite would have to be meatloaf on white bread with mayo and a dash of catsup! Most days you will find me with a simple ham and cheese tho!

Like Marygaily, I love the old ground bologna sandwich. My DD#6 calls them Lutheran funeral sandwiches! A woman in our church makes them when she has to help serve lunch and always brings me a little container of it.

I don't like boring sandwiches.

Gotta have Veggies on it. Like: Tomato,Onion,Lettace,Cherry Peppers,Cucumber,Olives,Shredded Carrot, Pavalone,And Turkey. I can barely get my mouth over it. You can order it at Subway like that. It is called "The Works".

I love simple tuna sandwich. Panera's tuna sandwich is my favorite. They used to sell a pork panini that I loved. Hate they stopped selling it. Also like chicken sandwiches.

Any type of Vietnamese sandwich in French bread!!! It's so yummy!!! Even my American friends love them.

Salmon Salad (dill relish, celery, onion, pepper) spread on fresh french crusty bread.

Absolutely anything they make in a sandwich at McAllister's Deli. They can surprise me and I'll be happy. The make a sliced chicken w/cranberry jelly that I love.

I rather enjoy a chicken salad with walnuts and grapes on a croissant.

Clam roll on a New England hotdog roll. The rolls are sliced on the top instead of the side, in case anyone was wondering... Sure wish they were available here!

Marigene I love those rolls. They used to be available in the west but I haven't seen them in decades. They used to butter and grill them on the sides and use them for hotdogs at the Woolworth's lunch counters.

I love tuna the same way enjoyingspring does but I add a little pepper relish to the mix. I like tuna on either a deli roll or dark rye.

I also love a good french dip or philly cheesesteak when done right.

Tuna or egg or chicken salad since I don't get that very often. BLT when it is made with fresh picked really ripe home grown tomatoes. Actually I love tomato sandwiches with mayo when it is home grown tomatoes.

What is ground bologna?

Very garlic-y hummus, with strips of avocado and cucumber - maybe some alfalfa sprouts - in a whole wheat tortilla wrap.

I wish I knew exactly how to make ham (bologna) salad. I tried making it once and it just wasn't right. When I was a kid, our neighbor lady made the best.

Chicken salad with celery, onions, and mayo on rye, with shredded lettuce. Or a three-decker club with chicken salad, bacon, lettuce, and tomato with mayo on toasted white bread. And don't forget the pickles. Dill or my homemade bread and butter ones.

Cheese, canned mushrooms, tomato, mustard, mayo, lettuce, pickles, toasted and thoroughly heated and melted, on a sub roll.

Or egg salad or deviled ham. Or salami and cucumber. Gosh, now I'm hungry.

my fave summertime sandwich:

White bread, Bologna, Velveeta, miracle whip, fresh tomato(with salt and pepper), and purple onion. OMygosh....nothing better!!

Tuna. Solid white albacore, with Krafts mayo and onions.

I chop the onions rather fine, and also chop the Tuna, in my little chopper. I make it spreadable, no lumps.

That is what I had for lunch, on a whole wheat bun.

Yesterday and today I made myself a ham and swiss cheese sandwich on rye, with mustard. My favorite sandwich, though I do like chicken salad and BLT's also.
