A great miniseries on our former President, John Adams. I own this DVD of it and have watched it several times.

arcy, my Mom told me that back then, they went to a studio to have their wedding pics taken and they had these large (I presume fake) bouquets they'd hand to the ladies...they were not necessarily the ones used at the wedding. The bouquet in her wedding photo was not the one she carried.

My mom's crucifix. Has 2 blessed candles and a bottle of holy water inside. Back in the day you could have a priest come to your home to administer last rights using the candles and holy water. .

This rock is big. It's about 2-1/2' x 3'. It used to be in the front yard of my friend and neighbor who has passed. Her house was torn down but before that happened, I was allowed to take this rock down to my front yard. I did it to keep a part of her with us. Most of her front yard was various rocks that she collected over her long life. She was an interesting and very special person and we miss her. I had another neighbor/friend help me make a design around the rock to look like flower petals. It turned out really nice. On the painted paver, also done by a friend, is Jane's little brown house. We wanted to keep it "alive". Her house was torn down and a big new house was built on the lot.
