My KT Get-together Yesterday! (3 Pictures)

Me, DH, DD and a friend spent the last 3 days in Branson and Eureka Springs AR.. just got back today and thought I'd post a picture of my meeting with Flamingo and Jen_TX!! This was my first meeting with Jen and she is just as sweet and bubbly as I imagined. We met at Sparky's Roadhouse in Eureka Springs and had a great lunch, did lots of talking (about the KT too of course)! lol The guys (my DH and Woody) and the younger girls sat at one end and talked firearms and fishing. Well, the guys talked and the girls listened.

Here's a very cute hotpad that Flamingo gifted me. I'll let her tell you the story behind it. It's quite large and has the cute hummingbird fabric on the backside.

Here's the girls at the Cresent Hotel in ES. They wanted to find out about a ghost tour at the hotel, but we ended up going back to Branson and they took the one there. I didn't get a good picture of them or the guys at the restaurant (not one the girls would have approved of anyhow). My DD is in the yellow.

It's always a treat to get together with Flamingo and I'm so happy I got to meet Jen this time around. Our vacation was fun, but tiring. Hot and humid too. I'll post a link to some more pictures in a day or two.

Sandy just opened her home...we didn't have to worry about a restaurant. I know she went to a lot of expense and trouble getting food ready for everyone. We all took a dish...Denny and I went to their local grocery store and bought what we wanted to fix. That way we didn't have to mess with carrying home dishes. She just opened her garage doors and set up a bunch of fans... That next day we all set in chairs in her back yard and opened our gifts....(Can't remember how that worked...we each brought a gift) I remember the one I got was from Maryanne TX and had lot of good Texas goodies in it. I would so love to do it...I have a large yard and you all could bring tents if you wanted... But I just don't think I could afford to do it now. I just thought you might like to know how Sandy handled it.It was so much fun. I've also seen pictures of some of the others and people were gathered in the kitchen (eating of course) what would a gathering be without food... If you really would like to come to this area...I would/could do some thinking about it... patti

Carol, I don't live in the City; about 20 miles west. It was fun to play hostess, tho! Mcmann, it was her first trip and something she said she dreamed about for 30 years. She told me it was magical, and I was incredibly happy for her. Those of us who live so close rarely see it through someone else's eyes...it was an honor.

Dave's photo site was called Critterscape and his photo friends kept it up for a long time after he died.. I used to have a live link to it but it no longer works. The site must have been taken down. I think it was on Zen photos...or something close to that. He was a phenomenally talented photographer. I, too, Glenda, loved his cat photos. Everything he photographed was brilliant. It's such a shame it's no longer available on the internet. I searched and searched but couldn't find it. He was a very talented artist. ETA: The photo website was Zen-folio.

Great pic of you three....I just love Mingo....we were planning on going back to Eureka springs next weekend for our anniversary but since so much stuff is messed up here guess not....maybe next year....Stacy

She's gorgeous and she and I can no longer be friends...I have a strict rule of not associating with women thinner and more attractive than me.....:]

Love the hot pad. I am impressed with our members who can sew so well. Off hand I am thinking of Jenni and Flamingo, but I am sure there are lots more.

Hey, I recognize those peeps! We had so much fun at lunch, the men are so cute together and the girls are just adorable. We hated to leave but they needed to go shopping and I had to take care of some family stuff. I hope they come back next year so we can spend more time together, we always have fun together. Jen loved meeting Lydia and Officer Andy made an appearance at our table, too. I've MISSED him!

Lydia gave us the coolest stuff, Jen got a bookmark and I got a neat road-trippy thing to hang from the rear view mirror, but right now it's hanging by the computer. SO cute! Thanks again, Lydia!

Lori, I think Lydia and Flamey resemble each other..even with the tall and short of it kinda thing. :)

Those girls are too cute...looks like they chose the "Flamingo stance" by that sign. lol
