Two of those will suck up a lot of air in your room. They will be big and dark, and I don't think you'll be happy. I'd keep looking.

Boop, all of the above, and then some. I think Queen Anne chairs look so matronly and dowdy. Front legs are really ugly, IMO, as is the upholstery, and I suspect it's not a well-made chair at all, which is what matters the most. I'd keep looking. What is your CL area?

I like Queen Anne chairs but I don't think this one adds anything to your pretty room. Your drapery fabric, paintings and rug are all really great!

Did you buy them already or is that photo of their current CL home? I'm confused. If you have them in your house, can't you tell whether or not they will fit under the table? At any rate, I would never use chairs like that with a dining table. Too big and cumbersome.

I did not buy them already. I put them in a picture of my room to get an idea of the colors and pattern.

I do really want an upright chair, again mostly for guests that need that. My dad has a bad back and I know will not like the sectional.

I look in the hudson valley NY, North Jersey (although it is really not just NNJ so tricky), and even NYC sometimes on CL. Also ebay.

OK back to the search :) Thank you all! My dad will be hear for Thanksgiving so I was trying to find something. I can always just bring in another chair for the weekend though.

It is not a regular dining table I am putting them next to either just FYI. :) I am sure I did not say that well. It is a table we use as a desk, but you could pull up chairs to the sides if you needed to for eating space (or for multiple people working on a puzzle for example.

they are kind of blah and a bit big looking, but I do like the black leather.

I would probably do better with one chair spacewise atm, but soon enough the desk or toys will be out of the room and then a pair would work.

If I knew I had an elderly family member coming soon and needed such a chair, I think I would buy the pair and consider reselling after they were used assuming they are clean, smell fresh and are comfy for the guest.

I am another fan of Queen Anne chairs. I think they are a lovely classic piece of furniture. Honestly for $50 I too would consider purchasing and reselling after Christmas. I don't mind the pattern but it doesn't complement the pattern in your rug or drapes.

Oh, LOVE that chair! I'd grab those! If you use the table as a desk, though, make sure the arms of any chair wouldn't get in the way of pulling yourself up to the side of the table.

The wing chairs are, quite frankly, hideous.

Have you considered first looking at different types of chairs, deciding on the type and size you want, and only then looking for them on craigslist?

I don't agree, and while they might not be my taste, I think they actually look okay in your mock-up. For $50, I'd at least go take a look and see what you think in person. You could take a cushion from your sectional and try it. If they get you through the holidays and don't grow on you, then sell them.

They look so dated and don't add anything to your room. In fact, I think they clash with your curtains and rug. They may contain some of the same colors as the curtains and rug, but they look so random.

OK back to the drawing board. I do like wing chairs. I don't think they look matronly, but maybe it is because I am matronly :) I don't think there is one perfect answer of chair type either to answer KSWL. At least that is not how I think.

So these are all going up for auction down the road tomorrow....

These will take up less room, but not sure how comfortable they will be to sit in.

I don't think any of these will be more then $200 (for the pair) or so and I would like to have more seating in the FR for thanksgiving and christmas. They don't have to be forever for that price in my mind.

I am going to have DH move the room around today so I have the spot for them.

Reallty like 2, 3 and 4. 1 is cool, but it seems cumbersome for the size of your room.

I like the 1st blue one or the striped wing best..... the green striped wood chair looks fine too except for that scroll piece on the front- that would have to come off!!!!
the burgundy chair looks mauve to me!

Number 2 would be a fun and not too difficult DIY reupholstery project for the future (assuming the springs in the seat are still intact & stable).

Option 2 are great, and can easily be recovered to blend better. I'd want to sit in them for a bit to see how comfortable they are, though. Option 5 is a nice neutral wing chair that would look nice in your room. The styling is plain, and they aren't as bulky as other wing chair options you've posted :)

Option 4 looks like it just had an EKG. What are those white disks?

Option 5 is probably the best with everything else in the room, IMO.

I'd pay a fortune for number one. It's amazing. I also like two. I have a few of those style and they are comfortable at a desk if the springs are still tight but for sitting in for longer periods of time the wing is such a better choice.
