Comments (6)Try Benjamin Moore cement gray, or if you need to go even lighter do American White darkened by 30%. We love the way it is a cool silver tone that seems to brighten the room, but the subtle purple undertones keep it from being cold. Comments (21)Cobalt blue is a gorgeous color but the walls +the gray headboard + the tan matchstick shades + multiple shades of blue doesnt equal a cohesive sum. Since the wall paint is fresh and pretty and since you like the grey headboard, consider sticking with fewer colors repeated in more elements and then add just one shade of blue as your proverbial pop? Comments (8)My intent was to paint before the flooring is in so I can take advantage of the furniture being out of the room (my husband will not be down for helping me move it all out of the room twice), and also it would just be nice to not have to worry about covering the flooring in order to paint. I considered painting AFTER the flooring is done, before the furniture is moved back into the room, but then I'm starting all over again with paint color options & the pressure to get it all done so our bedroom is functional again. :) I really didn't want to go with white in this room, and the current color is too yellow for my taste, so I've been trying to find a tan-ish color that keeps it neutral but doesn't go yellow.
