I like the new recliner. Is it comfortable? It looks great but smaller than the last. I think botanical prints would look lovely. For the wall behind the kitchen table I would hang some large platters or a grouping of small plates. The table is very nice. Have you considered shutters for the sunroom or roman shades? All the rooms look very nice and cozy. May I ask the paint color?

The paint color is SW Ivoire. I have really enjoyed it. It is very soothing and warm.

I have been obsessing over SW chips and really liking Ivorie as a neutral. How funny I picked it out in your rooms. It looks so good.
Hmm. yes the shutters are $$$.Bamboo tortishell type would bring in some interest. The Country Curtains website has some nice examples. Or maybe a light neutral khaki color to enhance the other fabrics. The pillows are pretty. I could see a print but that is a bigger commitment.

Oh goodness, that new recliner is a beauty. Prettiest leather recliner I've seen. Did you buy it local or on-liine? Can you give me information on it?

Without seeing the whole room - I am not sure about the arrangement. Sofa on main wall with sofa table behind with 2 lamps....botanical prints stacked (like a grouping of 6 or 9) on the wall.

Sunroom - I totally understand about the $$ for shutters - I think nice woven blinds would look great and add some texture. Then I would add a sisal rug or one of the cheaper indoor/outdoor rugs(you can probably find them on sale now - end of the season) What about one of those flat baskets you hang on the wall filled with flowers & leaves from the colors on your pillows?

I like the previous suggestion of plates, platters hung on the wall - especially blue & white. Would look really good on your paint color. Maybe a plate rack or shelf to get it some weight?

johnatemp, we tried the sofa on the large wall with end tables on either side of the sofa. However, the chairs don't look good sitting out in the middle of the floor where the sofa is now. I know I need something else on the wall with the two chairs, but not sure what to do there. Maybe some sort of chest to the right of the recliner. I think they look a little dwarfed there. Not sure if it is just because I don't have anything on the wall or not. Any thoughts?

Would you like to try a couple of different arrangements?

One is to put the big chair back where it was, then place the two recliners together at the end of the room.
Put the end tables on either side of the sofa like you had them. Then find a table to put between the two recliners. You can try them angled toward each other a bit or just have them lined up straight at a 90 with the sofa. Between the fireplace next to the recliner, I would probably have a big basket with magazines, or throws and pillows. A tall plant in the corner by the window would be great.

Second, take the big chair out of the equation and place the recliners across from the sofa on either side of the fireplace. I would put them on a 45ish degree facing inward. Each should have a small table to use for drinks/lamp/whatever you'd like to put there. This will leave the end wall completely open, but I think it will be easier to imagine different pieces of furniture/art there.

Definitely get your furniture placed in a way that makes you think "ahhhh, this is perfect". THEN we can worry about the art and accessories.

I was surprised to see two recliners. Didn't you only have one before?

Yes, I only had one before, but once I moved the furniture around I felt I needed another chair in the room. So, now we have two. I also brought home two other chairs to try, both in neutral fabrics but I felt I had too many colors going on in the room, so I opted for two brown leather recliners instead.

Did you try it on the other side of the fireplace where it was before and then the two recliners together on the other side?
