Posting problems

I know last week there were problems with this site,and i couldn't get on for a couple days.Saturday i was finally able to log back on using all lower case letters.BUT every day since i have to re-log on every day----Does anyone know why this is??? I check the box to save my login,yet still i have to log in everyday.This is getting real old,real fast!!!!

Kathi, this has been going on since last Thursday. Garden Web apparently upgraded their site and all hell broke loose. At least people can get in now. A lot of people couldn't even do that. They say they are working on the problem. It is annoying to have to log in every time you want to get on.
All the GW sites are having the same problem.

Well, I'm sure glad to hear that it's not just me!!! How annoying is it to hafta log in each time???!!! I also have asked the computer to remember the log-in information but it won't. ARRRGGGGHHHHH Hope they fix it soon.

I think someone did mention this, Kay, but this does not work for me either. I think Maryl said something about waiting ten minutes and it still did not sharpen. That is what mine does as well-never sharpens. Clicking on the next photo also does not make it sharpen for me--I just have two gray pictures then. It is a major quandry-just as some people are able to post with no problems. And then, wham, like Debra, no more posting without problems for a while. I usually check it prior to posting by creating a fake post and checking photo but I have yet to have one come up sharp or go from fade to sharp. What a mess. Kate

Maryl the color of ALA's second image is really close to being true to the color of the actual real bloom Shive , yes I have hostas growing all over . They are great increasers . I usually start them with 3 roots and by the second season they are a clump. My favourite though out of all of them is Hosta clausa var. clausa. This blooms a deep deep purple but the blooms never open . It is stoloniferous. Here is a picture of Clausa's blooms , Intense Purple but the blossoms never open . It increases underground I guess that's why it is not important to have any insect pollenate the blooms .

The above diagram does what I was thinking: turn the post base 90 degrees so the bolt doesn't stick out into the inner and outer walls but sideways instead. Not sure what to do about the 1/8" gap but it should no longer be a concern as it is on the sides, hidden inside the wall if you turn the post. That doesn't solve what to do at the corners though. Hmm. The post base manufacturer must have a solution for that. Countersunk flathead screws?

Well i guess one good thing about having to log in every time we come on,even though it is a pain in the patootie,is that we won't forget our password anytime soon!!!

And Susan,you're quite welcome.Someone told that to me saturday after not being able to log in for 2 days straight.So i guess in the grand scheme of things,logging in each time is better than not being able to log in at all.Let's just hope they hurry and get their computor geeks working on getting the problem solved.

I'm not sure I like the takeover - it seems to be saying it's for USA people only.

I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to get emailed with stuff from iVillage and it's advertisers, so I checked my profile. It won't update unless I enter a State and Zip code. A bit difficult since I don't have either, I'm in Scotland!

I am currently a contributing member - does that mean they don't want my money anymore??

As long as all this changing doesn't mean losing access to all you guys, I suppose I'll have to get used to it.
