I am having a post problem lol

I am pre designing a garage on google sketchup from a engineered plan. I have ran into a small problem, the diagram calls for 8 6X6 posts on permiter and 1 in the middle all posts on smart tie post bases with 2x6 stud walls inbetween. The post bases are secured with 1/2" machine bolts. So the two problems I face are in concern with the 1/2" plywood sheathing. The diagram shows that the post base strap is flush to the outer edge of the stud walls that would leave a ~1/8" (10 gauge steel thickness) gap between the plywood and the post. This would leave nothing to ensure a plumb corner, as well, the bolts would protrude past the edge of the stud walls and the sheathing would not sit plumb. I assume you could countersink the bolt heads into the sheathing solving problem number two but I cannot find any info on the gap. What is standard practice when installing corner posts in concrete that need to be sheathed past the bolts.
