Personality Test (just for fun)

Want to take a Personality Test? I took it and I am a IFSJ. My neighbor and daughter say it describes me quite well. Take the personality test and then ask your friends if it describe you. My sil is taking the test and e-mailing the results. Can't wait to see hers. (she's a good sil, no animosity here)

Y'all, please consider posting your monitor info -- it could really be interesting, say, if we find that folks with a certain brand always did double digits, and folks with another certain brand always did under 5 or even 0 etc...it can't all be ability to perceive, there must be some machine-effect in there somewhere.

I got a 0 too! I drove DH nuts a few years ago trying to find the perfect shade of off white paint with the right undertones. They all looked the same to him. In my new home, I have a housekeeper come every other week. I like clean homes. I do NOT like the actual job of cleaning them. I'd rather work in the garden, or do some cooking, or deal with the chickens, or keep up with physical maintenance and house painting/staining, or do graphic arts or anything else. I'm fine with doing laundry, too. I clean up after myself in the kitchen, but the housekeeper does floors, bathrooms and general dusting/windows and such. And I now have a robot vacuum who is pretty decent at what he does. He even has a name: Sharkey. I'm not crazy about cleaning his filter, but it comes with the territory and lasts five minutes... I didn't have a housekeeper back at my old CT home. One reason my getting out of there and getting the place on the market is taking so long... especially since I then had a full time job that lasted well over the standard 40 hour work week. THIS one will be clean! But it doesn't need to be anally-House Beautiful clean. Simply lived in and tidy. My reasons for not wanting a fully white kitchen or other rooms are not about appearing clean, but about my just only wanting white as an accent. Aesthetically. That's what works for my sense of eye appeal.

A lot of people wonder about the visualizers and the swatches you find online in general. It's a really good question. I'm sharing the following because I think it's important to understand the limits of digitized color - virtual color, online color or whatever you wanna call it. The most important thing you need to remember is this: How the paint colors look depends 100% on your device and nothing else. Digital paint colors will look different on each and every monitor, phone, tablet, laptop, etc. The color I see on my computer is not the same as the color you see on yours. Has absolutely nothing to do with color "in" the paint brand's viewers. No effort is made to ensure color accuracy with visualizer programs because the people who design them knows it doesn't matter. Because, again, how you see the paint colors depends on the device your using to view it and nothing else. The color space the visualizers work in is called RGB. In color science terms the RGB color space is ill-defined. Meaning (among other things) that the RGB color space makes no effort to mimic the human visual perception of color - how we see color in real life. Human visual perception is defined by 3 dimensions: hue, value and chroma. The RGB color space lacks TWO of those three; it lacks the dimensions of lightness and chromaticity (colorfulness/grayness). Thus, why the RGB color space is ill-defined. The RGB color space is strictly about lighting up three channels of light (red, green, and blue) to make a bunch of other colors. RGB values don't correlate to paint colors in any way whatsoever. Creating a sense of grayness or color nuance (which is lightness + saturation) digitally in the RGB colors space is very difficult. Because you're trying to "fake" a visual sense of grayness using a combination of red, green and blue channels of light on some kind of a device that is most likely not calibrated properly for displaying color. What all that means is the visualizers, any and all virtual renderings are inspirational at best. No one should mistake online visualizers or swatches for color "tools". The brands that offer a visualizer could be a lot more transparent about how it works, IMO. But the point of the visualizers is not to help the consumer, it's not meant to be a resource for color information. The visualizers are part of a marketing funnel designed to get you in a store to get chips where the staff can sell you paint and supplies.

INTJ here.

This test is not one designed "for fun". It is called the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. It is used by therapists and employers and others. The assessment was developed from the work of Carl G. Jung for use in psychology.

Do some further reading on 'your type'. One can use this new found knowledge to try to overcome shortcomings and obstacles in life - Yet one cannot change their "inner core" personality.

Google your "letters" and you will find plenty of sites that will dissect the personality indicator in detail for you. You will be amazed how accurate it is. Start with wikipedia for an overview and then hit the other sites.

Although I posted Just for Fun, I know this is used in businesses, and in schools to help people to find a career best suited for them. I think most people here are either retired or in a career. I thought maybe "just for fun" would be an indicator that I was not advertising anything. Here is a site that might help explain your personality more fully. Mine keeps popping up a window that says "Please stay where you are. State Police and Mental Health Officials are en route to your location."

Me too, McMann!!! ISFJ My brother's girlfriend does these types of analyses in her business. She uses a more detailed questionnairre.
I just filled one out for her, prior to getting this one.

Of course the results of hers are much more detailed. More explanatory, to use in what kind of line of work you are suited for. If I don't get exactly the same results, it will be very close, I'm sure. This one was more fun, than the one she uses! ;-)
