Need bath tub advice
Comments (2)I would urge you to be really careful with jet tubs. I have had nothing but problems with my Bain Ultra jet tub. My tub would turn on randomly throughout the night, so I would be in bed and hear air rushing from the tub in the middle of the night. Within a year of installation the lights on the keypad stopped functioning. Called their customer service department and they will not honor their warranty. Apparently their electronics and keypads are poorly constructed. The Bain employee I spoke to suggested I replace the tub altogether....See MoreWindow over Master Bath Tub
Comments (8)We only have space for a very small window, but it beats no natural light at all. Ours will be very small and clear glass because there's no way anyone is seeing into it, but for the other bathrooms that don't have so much privacy I'm going to use an obscure glass similar to the "Minster" pattern in the link. I wish I could fit a full-sized window, I would go with clear glass and sheers. To be honest, I could find happiness in just about anything that wasn't glass block. Sometimes I feel like the only person alive who can't stand that stuff. Makes me feel all Miami Vice-ish, like I need to don a white silk pant suit and peach cami. I tend to think it doesn't get more timeless than "plain old glass". You can always apply a treatment or film if you want something different without the commitment. Here is a link that might be useful:...See MoreNeed opinions regarding a window install in my hall bath tub area
Comments (9)I've done showers that had all kinds of windows. I'm not saying it can't be done. BUT. be aware there's a risk associated with it. <a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Bill_Vincent/media/Flaherty033.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="" border="0" alt=" photo Flaherty033.jpg"/></a> <a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Bill_Vincent/media/Allen120.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="" border="0" alt=" photo Allen120.jpg"/></a>...See MoreNew build, need decision quick on Master Bath tub surround/tub deck
Comments (21)I know this is an old thread. I'm comtemplating if I want a tub at all but if I get an air or a jetted tub, if the sides have stone around, how do you reach the motor if you need a repair? Just curious if anyone has dealt with that situation. For my current outdated tub, I can reach the motor through the the cabinet; I have a cut out there. I could do the same thing. But adding a slab of quartz to a tub make for a very expensive tub. Dominique, what did you decide and are you happy with your decision?...See Morelyfia
