We have clear glass with shutters. I like the leaded glass if done right, sometimes without window treatments, the bathroom can look cold, with all the hard surfaces.

My main concern is that patterned glass is dated. Not sure though.

Patterned glass I think might go out of style, but never leaded glass, that is timeless.

I love leaded glass. I put clear glass b/c I think it might be nice to look out into our back yard. We're not sure if we will need anything for privacy-the bath is on the first floor but the way the lot slopes I'm not sure anyone will be able to look in. I'm thinking about getting these ikea sheer panels to provide a little privacy while allowing the light to come.

We only have space for a very small window, but it beats no natural light at all. Ours will be very small and clear glass because there's no way anyone is seeing into it, but for the other bathrooms that don't have so much privacy I'm going to use an obscure glass similar to the "Minster" pattern in the link.

I wish I could fit a full-sized window, I would go with clear glass and sheers.

To be honest, I could find happiness in just about anything that wasn't glass block. Sometimes I feel like the only person alive who can't stand that stuff. Makes me feel all Miami Vice-ish, like I need to don a white silk pant suit and peach cami.

I tend to think it doesn't get more timeless than "plain old glass". You can always apply a treatment or film if you want something different without the commitment.

We are building and I wanted to be able to sit in the tub and look out therefore, having to have the tub raised with a step. The window is 4ftx6ft, clear glass. I will most likely do shutters when we get moved in. I do love the leaded glass too.

I love glass-block, at the time I had my house built I didn't have the money for that but would have gone that way. I have clear glass on my master shower and opaque glass on the full-sized window above my tub. I love it as it lets natural light in and I seldom have to turn the lights on (except at night).

You can't go wrong with clear glass especially if there is a view. It never goes out of style. You can always add shutters, curtains or shades if you need more privacy.
