Shirley, it sounds like you ate at Sue's house! LOL! Gayle, I wish we had a take-out restaurant nearby that had that. I'd probably eat in/out a lot! I needed a reminder about steaks. I bought a bunch when they were on sale a while back. Still to hot for chicken and dumplings but it sure sounds good. Ah, well. It'll be cold enough pretty soon. I would like to go with Lil, especially if she took Boston cream pie. I straightened out our freezer today and made a vow not to buy any more meat until I've used up a lot of what I already have. I could probably start a mini-meat market :0

patti43-What is brown sugar meat loaf? DS was saying tonight that meatloaf sounded good.Every one's menu sounds delish! Peach pie and bread pudding.MMMMM We had some hamburger patties left from a couple of days ago.DS was going to cook them on the grill but we didn't have any buns OR bread so I smashed them up to make them a little smaller and thicker and fried them in a skillet on the stove.Opened a couple of cans of green beans.All I had was one can of French style and one can of cut so I just mixed them.Then I seasoned them with salt,pepper and garlic powder.Took the lid off the garlic powder to sprinkle some in and dumped about a tablespoon into the beans! I had bought a different brand than what I usually use and this one had the flip top instead of the screw on one covering the little holes.I rinsed them off as best I could but they were still pretty garlicky.Didn't have any potatoes or rice but had a package of fettuccine noodles and a jar of Alfredo sauce so I made that as a side dish.It was pretty good and nobody complained.You can probably tell tomorrow is grocery shopping day!LOL

This was sister's night at the Home w/Annie. I made myself a sandwich using a Thomas bagel thin, spread with a Laughing Cow herb/garlic wedge and romaine lettuce. Broccoli/Cheese soup and a hot fudge sundae from McDonald's. I should have done without ONE of those things as I'm a little overly full. Shirley
