What's for dinner 9/29?

I thawed some pork ribs and they're slowly cooking in the oven. I made another batch of the barbecue sauce someome posted here. I don't remember who it was (I'm thinking it was Pattico) but this is the 4th batch I've made this summer. So we're having barbecued ribs, green beans (leftover from last night) and waldorf salad. I made my own mayonnaise for the first time today!

Cheryl is bringing over grilled ribeye steaks and I am fixing baked beans and baked potatoes and anything else I can think of.

Sashimi on rice, rice isn't part of my diet, but there really wasn't anything to get other than fried crap and pizza. They recently started selling it and sushi at the cafeteria in the ajoining hospital. Had attempted to make chicken breasts with tomatoes and parmesan cheese last night to take with me to work today, but when I put the cheese overtop of it at the end, it was moldy. I had to throw out the whole thing.

Invited out for dinner and for a night of either Scrabble or Cranium. Hubs and I adore Scrabble, but the male half of the couple we're going to isn't a good speller. He excels at Cranium, which I think is a Trivial Pursuit kind of game. I suck at that, so I have my thoughts that that's the game we'll be playing. LOL

This was sister's night at the Home w/Annie. I made myself a sandwich using a Thomas bagel thin, spread with a Laughing Cow herb/garlic wedge and romaine lettuce. Broccoli/Cheese soup and a hot fudge sundae from McDonald's. I should have done without ONE of those things as I'm a little overly full. Shirley

Gino's sausage patty deep dish pizza (frozen, bakes in 40 mins.) and a salad with all sorts of veggies (to make up for the unhealthy pizza -- LOL).

I tried a recipe from Craftyshe, Ravioli with Sausage. I didn't have any smoked sausage on hand and was too lazy to go out to get some so I used pepperoni and it was good that way too. I know the sausage will be great and will make it the right way next time! We had a lettuce salad and garlic toast. Frosted Pumpkin cookies for dessert. Easy and good, my kind of meal!

~*~Ravioli with Sausage Recipe~*~

4 cups frozen cheese ravioli
1/2 pound smoked sausage, sliced
1 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 jar (26 ounces) meatless spaghetti sauce
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

In 4 qt.Slow cooker,combine all ingr. except parmesan cheese ;Mix well.Cover; cook on low setting for 5 to 6 hours.Sprinkle individual servings with cheese. 4 (1- 1/2c.) servings.

I was planning to make a meatloaf the last few days, didn't get to it so last night I decided to make meatballs. A little spicy since the sausage was hotter than I expected but still very good. So tonight I made spaghetti, simmered the meatballs in the sauce and had some toast with it. Forgot all about the coleslaw in the frig. But I forgive easily and gave my self a Snickers bar for dessert. Didn't feel like cutting the Key Lime Pie! And it's almost time to turn on Hell's Kitchen.

Sauteed onions and cabbage and boneless pork.
Just had a small bowl of yogurt, flax and granola for dessert.

I cooked a pot roast in the crock pot all day. Then sliced it, set it on top of a bed of white rice, then poured white sauce on top....then layed sliced mushrooms on top! DH was very impressed. lol

Spaghetti and meatballs.Homemade sauce with Wal Mart brand frozen meatballs and green olives.I can't believe how good those meatballs are for frozen,and so easy.Just dump them in the sauce and cook for a bit and they are done.Less than $5. for a big bag.Texas garlic toast.Also frozen Wal Mart brand.
