Do I have to take the skin off tomatoes?
Comments (3)You'll regret it if you don't remove them, sorry. See previous discussions on this linked below. Also, please be sure you are using a tested and safe canning recipe. Many on the net are NOT safe recipes for canning. Use the approved recipe in the Ball Blue Book or the one from NCHFP the National Center for Home Food Processing. There are also many recipes here that a search will pull up. The recommendation for pre-squeezing is so you will have a thicker sauce. It gets rid of much of the water in the fruit up front and can save you lots of time in cooking down the sauce. Comments (16)Rdback, I really liked the sweet heat from this pepper so I figured I'd take the chance after all. I didn't need much encouragement, did I? LOL I rinsed the seeds from the Mulato Poblano. Then I dropped them in a half glass of water and stirred them. I saved only the ones that sunk to the bottom. I figured they were the heavier more viable seeds.I dried them in the sun. (I got gardendawgie's suggestion too late)I got 27 seeds. I planted 9 in each starter square just to be safe. Well see what pops up. Hopefully it will grow true. Thanks all for the good input as always....See MoreThinking of taking house off the market
Comments (46)I'm getting in late on this post, but essentially agree with everyone else who says the fence has to go! With that fence and those huge trees, you can barely see this house. I could easily drive by it and not even realize it's there. It does seem to me that the fence is hiding something. I like the pond and plantings but would move some of the outdoor furniture...it's a little too busy for my taste. I wonder where the "for sale" sign is? Six weeks on the market is nothing...we are closing this Wed. on our house after 3.5 months DOM. Our realtor also never showed the house herself, but got lots of other realtors to show it. The buyers are actually a young couple, of which the woman is the niece of a good friend of my husband's. We told the friend about the house, and he suggested that his niece and her boyfriend might be interested in it! So...yeah...we could have sold it FSBO. But who knew? You never really know where your buyers are going to come from....See MoreWant to take home off the market - Implications?
Comments (5)Unless it is specified differently in your contract, you don't owe your realtor anything other than an explanation of why you are withdrawing the listing. Having said that, a nice bottle of something and a thank you card would be a very nice thank you for all the work put in. I don't think you need to pay anything, it really is one of those things and a realtor knows that there is a risk of this with any listing that they take....See MoreTuscanlover
