I like the third a lot.

Two (if you want to change the wall color in the future), or Three, (if you love blue and the room will always be blue).

I like the one to the right; agree with slate. All of a sudden, after 15+ years, our slate tile started 'peeling off.'

I was leaning toward one, but hubby likes two followed by three, he will be happy with GWers.

I really like three. I don't think you would have to keep the walls blue. It looks like it has some neutral tones in it. Two would be my second choice.

I like the first tile but they all look like winners.

I say number 2 because even though the third looks really good, you will be so limited. I speak from experience, because that looks like the combo that I chose in our master bath and I have not been able to change our wall color because of the floor.

I had to chime in because I immediately liked #1! But I would probably go with safe bet #2.

I vote for #2. It gives you flexibility in the future, plus it lets your wall color be the star in the space.

As to the size of the tiles, how much actual open floor space will you have? I would get a piece of graph paper (you can print it for free from the web), draw the room to scale, and play with tile arrangements. If the floor space is pretty narrow, larger tiles on the diagonal might end up generating a lot of cuts on the sides of the space.

I do love the diagonal look, but I think smaller tiles might work better in the space.

I really like #1 - but that's just 1 tile. when a bunch get together it'd be too much movement for me. I have a problem with movement on floors(can cause me to miss my step). That's just me tho - it obviously doesn't bother most other people.

so, I'd probably go with 3 - I don't think it'll limit you in color much. A lot of shades of blue, cream, tans would go with it. Unless you think you might wanna paint the room lime green or red or pink etc in the future.

2 is too dark for me. you've got the dark wood of the other room and the dark w/dryer, cabinets. all dark.

the background color on the above pic of the cab, w/d would be a good color for the walls to go with tile #3!

I like #3. It has the most depth and incorporates more colors and tones so to me it would be easiest to change wall color with that as a floor ( blue, green, grey, white, etc). I think with the #2 brown floor and black cabs and appliances you would not want to keep the blue wall color but go to something liked a greyed tan, which seems a bit muddy and dark for a laundry. The first choice does not seem to complement anything else in the room.

One more strong vote for #3, especially if you were considering slate. I think that #3 is way more interesting than #2, which I also like. The color tones in #1 don't seem to go as well to me.

A vote for #2, I like something very unobtrusive in the laundry so as not to compete with the piles of clothes on the floor!

I like # 1 - as it is lighter. I would think w/your black cabinets a lighter floor may look very nice. But, I'm not someone that likes dark colors.

I vote for #3, every speck of lint will stand out on number 2.

Is it possible to find a tile with the main color of #2, but one that has some pattern/marbling like #three that would add some lightness for both looks and not showing dirt?

All good suggestions, looks like 3 and 2 are the favorites, I need to get multiple tiles of each and maybe some paint samples to see if 3 would work with other colors in case I tire of blues. Lizbeth good idea, I will look and see if there is anything else available.

I like 2 and with a dark matching grout.
