I use "Out of Milk" works great.

You can just speak to it what you want on the list or can go to the "pantry list", you go to pantry and scan everything so you have a full list of everything you use. Then you can go down the list and add it to which ever list it needs to go to. In my case I have Trader Joes, Costco, Kroger and Harris Teeter.
My wife can also add things to the list on her ipad while she is at home and I am out shopping and it comes up on my list.

I like the simplicity of Color Notes. Some of the "list" apps can get quite complicated.

I just use the notepad on my I-phone. Works like a charm because I know the layout of the local stores. I only go to two of them--both are Publix.

I've tried about half a dozen grocery list apps and they are all awful. They try to do too much - organize by store, by aisle, by category, etc, so they don't do a plain old grocery list well at all.

I'm a little late to the party, but I also use Out of Milk. It's easy to set up, easy to share, and I like that it also has a pantry list. I keep track of what I've put in the basement freezer, including my backup stock of spices. I can enter things on the website and sync it to my phone, and it's also easy to share with the hubs and vice versa.

Service is fabulous, I had a problem with it this weekend and shot off a question, and got an answer within an hour on a Sunday afternoon.

Best of all, it's free. Unless you want to pay $2 for the pro version, which I did, because I like supporting the developers when I find something that works well.

I use the NOTES App that was built-in on my iPhone home screen. Icon looks like a yellow legal pad. It works great.

I use Cozi. It has a lot of functions but I love the lists function and I love that it has one password for the family. I can keep lots of different lists; Groceries, Specialty market, Hardware Store, etc... I can see/update them on my laptop or phone, my husband can see it on his laptop/phone. Since my laptop, in general is open laying around somewhere, my kids are trained that if they want something from the store, they need to add it to the cozi list. If they don't put it on the list and I don't buy it thats too bad.

I used Splash Shopper. Love it because it has desktop and android phone database that can be synchronized.

Very surprised by how many different apps are used by the folks here. Like the idea of sync systems.
