So far, I like the watch a lot. It can compute how many calories I burn during exercise and shows what percentage the exercise heart rate is compared to the maximum heart rate. Very nice.

I watched both of them and i wanted to slap some sense into the parents of the gal that was in the beauty pagents.She was dumber than rocks. The second one made me cry,it brought back sooo many memories for me.I kinda lived that life all through high school.My mom died when i was 9,and when i was 13 i was sent to live with an aunt and uncle.The aunt treated me like that,uncle was always at work.I had to care for her 2 kids,and my grandfather(he had had a stroke),clean house,cook,laundry,and i mean with a ringer washer and hanging them out to dry.Plus going to the spring everyday to get water. I used to get migrains,and had very bad stomach aches.I toughed it out so i could graduate high school,which i did.After i graduated the wicked witch of the east,wouldn't let me go job hunting.Wanted me to stay home and take care of Grandad,her kids,the house etc.We got into a big fight,and i was able to call an older sister in another state,and she came and got me out of there,and took me to live with her.It was like going from hell to heaven!! Years later i ran into my cousins at a family reunion(the WW'S kids,i cared for) and the boy told me that he always thought i was his mom,and how sad he was when i left.Made me cry.As he got older he realized i was his cousin. Sorry,didn't mean to get carried away,that show just stirred up buried memories for me.I didn't think there was still people out there like that.It happened to me in the 50's. Kathi

WoW!!! This has really taken a negative direction between two of KT's finest! Well, I'm not here alot but I think I gotta chime in! What I have to say maybe nothing more than rambling..be forewarned! LOL!! The age old battle of losing weight. I'M AN EXPERT at trying!!! I don't have a clue what it's like to have only 5-10 lbs. to lose. Nope it's a whole lot more than that. So, I can't identify with Flamey. I don't know what it's like to lose 150 lbs., so I can't identify with Granlan either(I honestly wish I could).But I can identify with Gran on this. I also know peeps that will spit and sputter about 5-10 lbs. just to fish for compliments and those peeps after about the second time, will fall off my radar screen. I don't think Flamey was doing that or rubbing this in anyone's nose. If she feels comfortable weighing 5-10 lbs. less, then that is her choice. I think her original point was just letting others know about this TV show and discussing it. Yet on the other hand Gran, I don't think anyone here including myself know how hard you worked and the determination it took to achieve what you did. I too kind of think that the peeps that have 5-10 lbs. to lose, aren't struggling half as much as those of us who have 100 or more lbs. to lose. Heck, half of their excess could even be the dreaded 'water weight' that we all know and have heard about. But there again, I have never been in their shoes. But they also have never been in the situation of having to lose a vast amount of weight. So, I honestly think nobody knows the others personal challenges and battles they are fighting. What one sees as a mere drop in the bucket, someone else might see it as insurmountable. But my words to Flamey and others, realize that Gran and I and possibly others do think that sometimes thin people just don't seem to understand that 5-10 lbs. does sound petty to those of us who have/need to lose 10 times that. And yes, I would bet that those of us who do need to lose that amount of weight have kicked ourselves many times over for not dealing with this when it was only 5-10 lbs. We have beaten ourselves up over this time and time again and anybody who looks at us know we need to lose weight, yet looking at Flamey, we can't see that through the same eyes as you do. We can't comprehend the magnitude of their obsession with those few lbs. So, Gran, I can identify and understand what you meant in your original post to Flamey.

This development may turn out not to be as great as its looks like after the new PM appointed Boris Johnson to be the new Foreign Secretary. The Daily Mirror today: "Boris Johnson was branded a “liar” and “irresponsible” by his foreign counterparts yesterday. French and German ministers both questioned the new Foreign Secretary’s fitness to represent the UK on the world stage. Jean-Marc Ayrault, the French foreign minister, said the pro- Brexit Mr Johnson had “lied a lot” to the British people during the EU referendum campaign and was “unreliable.” “I am not at all worried about Boris Johnson, but... during the campaign he lied a lot to the British people and now it is he who has his back against the wall,” Mr Ayrault told Europe 1 radio. He added: “He has) his back against the wall to defend his country but also with his back against the wall the relationship with Europe should be clear. “I need a partner with whom I can negotiate and who is clear, credible and reliable.” Germany’s foreign minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier also ditched diplomatic niceties to brand Mr Johnson an “irresponsible politician” who “bolted” after Brexit . “People (in the UK) are experiencing a rude awakening after irresponsible politicians first lured the country into a Brexit to then, once the decision was made, bolt and not take responsibility,”Mr Steinmeier said. “Instead they went to play cricket. To be honest, I find this outrageous but it’s not just bitter for Great Britain. It’s also bitter for the European Union.” The personal attacks could make for an awkward first meeting when Mr Johnson joins EU foreign ministers and America’s Secretary of State for dinner on Sunday night ahead of a Brussels summit on Monday. In the United States, the state department’s deputy spokesman Mark Toner failed to stifle a laugh when asked about the appointment. Sweden’s former prime minister Carl Bildt tweeted the photo of Mr Johnson caught on a zip wire above the words: “I wish it was a joke, but I fear it isn’t. Exit upon exit.” Labour’s Kevin Brennan said making Mr Johnson Foreign Secretary was “the strangest move since Caligula appointed his horse a senator.” Mr Johnson has made a series of gaffes and has a history of insulting foreigners. The UK’s representative on the world stage will now be the pro- Brexit former mayor of London who smeared Barack Obama for having a “part Kenyan” heritage and once referred to black people as “piccaninnies” with “watermelon smiles.” Mr Johnson has also described Hillary Clinton as a “sadistic nurse in a mental hospital” and her rival for the US presidency Donald Trump as “stupefyingly ignorant.” Last November he was forced to cut short a visit to Palestinian Authority territory after a Palestinian group took offence at his strong support for Israel. Mr Johnson wrote about black people as “flag-waving piccaninnies” with “watermelon smiles” in a 2002 column for the Daily Telegraph.
