Help! I'm still in the Dark Ages of Jell-O molds!

I found a red, flexible plastic gelatin mold (brand name Jell-O stamped on it) at my local Goodwill for 69 cents. It is shaped like a small bundt cake pan. You know, the kind with the tube in the center, where I intend to put the lovely cream cheese and whipped cream dressing for the congealed cranberry/orange/walnut salad I'm making especially for Mom this Thanksgiving!!! But here is my question...

I never have used one of these flexible plastic mold thingies. I grew up using the tin molds, where you quickly dunk them in real hot water to loosen the gelatin from the side of the mold, and then invert it onto your plate.

What are the rules for using this kind of mold? Do I spray with Pam first? Do I still use the hot water to invert it?

Help! I'm in the dark ages of jell-o!
