constant chattering from some women!

My chief gripe is otherwise smart women making poor choices when they select a life partner! Their bad decisions can have far-reaching ramifications.

I had to ask DH he said the most annoying thing about women is the expect you to be able to read their mind!
He says he asks me something and I dont give him a straight answer and he is supposed to know what I want/need.

Well HELLO!!!!! At least I LISTEN to you when you talk!

I second the constant chattering. I remember attending large group school meetings or functions and not being able to hear the speaker due to incessant chattering nearby.

My Dh would second what nodakgal's Dh said. I tend to qualify my answers to his questions with ifs, ands and buts...drives him nuts. A mighty short drive I would add!

having been raised with 5 brothers and all of their friends,I tend to prefer to be around the men in a crowd...they are near as caddy or judgemental.

I really dislike how women personalize everything and hold grudges forever.

2 men can have a knock-down, drag-out fist fight and the next day you'll see them chatting and laughing together.

2 women can have an argument and they will never speak to each other again, ever.

Two B's - backstabbing and witchiness

DH gets really ticked when I can get so mad at him, and we're fighting, then a little while later go on as if nothing had happened.
I tend to let it out, then forgive and go on down the road.

He holds things in. Really makes me mad. He doesn't get mad at circumstances and people like he should, so I get mad at them for him. He thinks I'm taking it out on him by getting angry at the people, because he's in the room with me, and they're not.

I used to work in a factory with 300 people......6 of them were women. It was fantastic. I was one of the guys....they weren't mad at a woman being there at all. If we can do the work, that's great. Then the company bought a competitor, the place doubled, and it grew to 50% women. It was never the same.....whining, complaining, gossipy, tattling.....my boss and some of us "original" ones would often say, how much better it was before.

When I used to belong to several organizations, and held an office, when we had a meeting, so many women discuss and discuss and discuss things till i was about to pull my hair out. It drive me so nuts that I resigned my position . Other than that I think women are pretty near perfect. LOL Dottie

I know my husband's answer would be, Women NEVER forget. I mean years.

My DH would certainly agree with jkayd il5's hubbie. And when I bring up something that happened years ago, the response from him is usually, "You're never going to let me forget that, are you? ". No, never!

And pretty much what everyone else has said goes for me too.

Cattiness, drama, much easier and peaceful to work with men.

Speaking about myself I tend to over-think issues too much. I have to catch myself and tell myself what can be changed and what can't. I sometimes can retreat into myself and all of a sudden I realize that I haven't seen my friends for awhile. I think that comes from liking my own company and being a very independent soul.

By the way I am single, but was married for 30 years.

I have said (only half joking) to people I know many times: Large groups of women are a *itch!

They can not stop talking, and often aren't saying very nice things! One on one or in a small group, we're fine. ;o)

Flamingo really hit the nail on the head with her analogy of 2 men getting in a fight and 2 women.
Some women say all they need to say but, then keep on talking for another hour.

Women not supporting other women.....like being mean and catty to other women except when they come face to face.
I didn't explain it very well but I saw it a lot when I was working as a nurse.

So, you wanted a man's opinion. OK, here goes although it may not put me in a good light. I really did not wnat to agitate the wonderful people on this forum.

At gatherings, take look at entrances and doorways. Women tend to clog the entrances. They will move just inside an entryway and stop. After two more do this, it is impossible for a man to pass through without being rude or pushy. That's irritating. This is merely an observation, not an attack on women. I've watch this phenomonem and have wondered what is the basis of this behavor?

It doesn't matter what kind of meeting it is, social, business, or church, it happens. It tends to happen more often in friendly social gatherings. The same ones who block entryways also dawddle when in line at a self serve buffet. If they can't make up their mind on food choices, it never occurs to them to continue on and to let others pass along. They could alway pass though and then go back to the end of the line if they decided on another food choice. I have seen a few in a self serve line stop to discuss a dish for 5 minutes or more without regard to others who are waiting in line. Fortunately, this does not happen often and this applies equally to both men abd women.

Other than that, I like pot luck buffets. It creates lots of material for conversation starters and I am always amazed at the variety of skillful food prepration, especially when the guys add their barbeques and chilles.

Never let one forget something that got their goat ... years ago.

When one issue is under discussion ... drag in non-related, long-past issues.

Women will call each other after a "get together" and gossip. "Did you see what Sally was wearing?" "OMG"!

Men never do that.

I'll go with the post about women expecting others to 'read their minds'. It's not fair because women have had to develop more 'intuition' than men. Women are usually better at reading body language, voice pitch, facial expressions, a general level of tension or ease. Often their survival depended on these skills. They forget that most men don't have the same abilities to 'pick up vibes''.

Men and women think differently. If there's a problem, a woman often wants to look at it from several sides, examine it, not necessarily move directly to a conclusion. Sometimes she just wants 'an ear'so that she can organize her thoughts by speaking them out loud. A man wants to solve it, 'fix' it. BANG! Done! First thing that comes into his head! Men are sequentially task oriented. Women can more easily multi-task.

Women think with both sides of their brains at once. Men don't. If you want to get a man to really *consider* something, you have to give him time to use one side to take in the information and do the cogitating and delay discussion for perhaps a day.
