Schoolhouse- I went and looked at my recipe...and it's not apple crisp, but similar. You have the oatmeal mixture on the bottom, then the apples, then a little more oatmeal on top. It's so good! Here's the recipe :) Oven at 350. In a medium mixing bowl, combine: 1 cup flour 1 cup oats 3/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1 stick butter or margerine (1/2 cup) Take out 1/2 cup to save for top of dessert. In a medium saucepan, combine: 2 medium apples, peeled, cored and chopped 2 tbsp. water 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon Dash of nutmeg Dash of cloves Bring to boiling, reduce heat and simmer (covered) for 8-10 minutes. In a square 9" x 9" (or 8" x 8") pan, press the remaining flour/oat crumb mixture into the pan. Spread apple filling on top and sprinkle reserved (1/2 cup) crumbs mixture on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes until top is golden brown. Cool and then cut into bars (makes about 25) and this is so good with tea! Also could have ice cream with it, but I like it plain. It's not dry, so you don't have to put cream or ice cream over it. This is almost the same recipe as BH&G dessert recipe, with just a few changes :)

Oh I completely missed them. I'll try to look them up terilyn. Such a great show.

Summers that DOES sound like a dream home for sure. That is going to be spectacular. You can set up a green house and have all kinds of awesome things also in there. What a lovely place that is going to be. I am super excited for you. Vapor unfortunately Kew gardens does get BS here when I don’t spray. To be fair it keeps blooming and I do not think 🤔 i has completely defoliated but not clean like Darlow’s enigma. It has few thorns and it forms a very nicely shaped bush. I will stop spraying it and see what happens and report back. (I have quit spraying certain roses to test them in order to determine if they will qualify to be added to my no spray small garden at the lake). So far spirit of freedom, Olivia, Bathsheba, Claire, Wollerton old hall, Emily, Roal Dahl and Wedgwood are clean enough to get a spot. I much as I love gardening I can barely keep up with one so the other place needs to be lower maintenance.

Ded, it so stressful as everything is day by day. He needs a back x-ray next Friday, which will involve a transfer van and me jumping through all the hoops to be able to be with him for that. I am grateful though that this is the only reason he has had to be transported somewhere from the residence since he moved there early October. The residence provides mobile hairdressers, foot care people, dentists, optometrists...
