Camping Cooking Tips please

I am writing an ongoing article (just did the first installment the other day) on preparing meals for kayak camping. It's a bit of a cross between car camping and backpacking, since weight matters (can't lug a heavy cooler!) but not as much as if you're hiking (doesn't need to be all dehydrated product).

And although some fresh produce works, anything squishy, like bananas, will get mangled pretty badly, since all the ingredients are packed very tightly (they don't call them "stuff sacks" for nothing!) then shoved into small, oddly shaped spaces.

And it's ok to have some items that should stay cool (parmesan cheese, for example), you can't really rely on keeping things cold (so no raw meats!).

Here is a link that might be useful: Kayaking...Camping...Cooking... a few of my favorite things..
