Need quick soapstone install advice---help!

So our soapstone is here and finally getting installed---but in the process of installing it, a corner broke off! I'm freaking out now. It was along a vein that had already been reinforced, so presumably a known issue or potential issue. Fabricator (also supplier---soapstone specialists so plenty of experience in this arena, i.e. not a problem of being unfamiliar with soapstone) swears when the seam is glued and sanded it will not be noticeable. The piece is supported by the dishwasher support so it can't physically go anywhere.

Questions...

- Is it accepted practice for them to glue this and we really won't notice it? (If this is clearly not possible I don't want to wait until the end of the install to say something.) Will this affect the durability over time in any way?

- What is the appropriate response, assuming they glue it and it does look okay? Should we ask for some kind of future assurance of performance? Discounted cost? Other agreements?

- Are there other questions I should be asking? (I asked if this might be a problem with any other veins in the stone and they said no, but then again that's what they said about this vein when we were templating too.)

Any advice? Thanks!
